The following morning, Harry and Kylie walked down the hall together. "How's the arm?" He asks. Kylie looked down at it and smiled. "Much better. Pomfrey did well." She says. The two chuckled, before they stopped upon seeing Remus packing his things. The two share looks before slowly walking in. "Hello, Harry, Kylie." Remus greeted without even turning. 

Harry jumped, but Kylie smiled as he turned around. "Saw you coming." He says as he pointed towards the Marauder's map on the bare desk. Kylie looked around and saw the empty drawers. Harry on the other hand was taking in Remus's appearance. "I've looked worse, believe me." Remus replied and went back to packing. "You've been sacked." Kylie says, turning towards him with a frown. "Resigned, actually." He corrected.

"Resigned! But why!" Harry says. "It seems that someone has let slip the nature of my condition." He says sadly. "Snape." Kylie sneered. "Whoever. It was bound to get out. This time tomorrow, the owls will start arriving. Parents will not want a -- someone like me -- teaching their children." He says.

"But Dumbledore --" Harry starts. "Has already risked enough on my behalf. Besides, people like me, well -- let's just say I'm used to this by now." He says. Kylie frowned, wanting to say something, but she didn't. "But before I go, tell me about your Patronus." He says. "Well. At first I thought it was a horse, or perhaps a unicorn, but I think it was --" Harry starts. "A stag." Remus replied.

"Yes." Harry says. "Your father used to transform into one. That's how he was able to keep me company when I became -- sick. He was a great friend James." He says with a small smile. Kylie smiled sadly. "There are stories about him and your mother, you know. Some are even true. But I think it's safe to say, in the end, you'll know them best by getting to know yourself." He says and picks his suitcase up, getting ready to leave.

Once Remus walked out, Kylie waited a few seconds before running out of room and looking down the halls. She huffed and ran down the hall, before turning the corner and seeing Remus walk off. "Remus!" She says. He stopped and turned. She sighed and ran over to him, wrapping her arms around him. She pulled away and kissed him softly.

In that moment, Remus felt happy. He had found somebody that made him happy. Once she pulled away, she smiled. "Goodbye, Remus." She whispered and backed away, letting him leave. He smiled softly. "Goodbye, Ivy." He says and leaves. Kylie smiled and went back to where Harry was.

As the two made their way to the Great Hall, Ron stood amid a circle of excited Gryffindors. "Stand back, I said! I'll take it upstairs if you don't settle!" He called out. Harry and Kylie glanced at each other, before Hermione cleared her throat. "Harry! Wherever did you get it!" Neville exclaimed. "Can I have a go, Harry? After you, of course --" Seamus starts. "Quiet!" Ron shouted. "Thank you. Let the man through." He says as Harry was pulled towards him.

Kylie stood beside Hermione and watched in amusement. In Ron's hands was a broom labeled Firebolt. "Who's it that?" Harry asks. "Who's is it? It's yours, mate." Ron says laughing. "But -- how?" Harry asks. "It's a mystery. Though -- this fell out of the wrapping." Hermione says and handed Harry a feather. Kylie smiled. "That's a Hippogriff feather --" He starts and realizes who sent it.

As the third years rushed out after Harry, Kylie was met by Bree and Kevin. "Where've you been?" Bree asks. "Why do you ask?" Kylie asks smirking. "She has that face, Bree. What happened?" Kevin asks. "Nothing." She replied and turned towards them. "What happened with your dad?" Bree whispered. "He's fine." She says simply. They both nod. "That's it?" Kevin asks. "Yup." Bree furrowed her brows. "That's not all of it, is it?" She asks. "Nope." She says. "Then what?" Kevin asks. "Remus resigned." She says with a smile before leaving the two. "Wait, what?" Kevin asks, but Bree figured it out. "Kylie Carson!" She yelled. "What? What did she mean?" Kevin asks. Bree rolled her eyes and raced after Kylie.
