"So do we need anymore evidence?"

"I don't think so, we have a lot, hopefully it's enough."

"It is, you will avenge me." Kylo attempted a small smile but Rey shook her head.

"Then after what do we do? What's going to happen to you?"

He shrugged. "I don't know and it shouldn't matter right now. We should just focus on the present."

"Okay —" Rey smiled weakly. "Then let's get to work."

"What do we need to do?"

"Put the evidence in order and I need to know what to say. But one more thing —"

"What?"

"I need your side of the story."

"Why? How would that count, I dead."

"I'll just say I got it from Hux or something."

"Why do you need it?"

"Insight on how it's like working for Snoke. It'd give us an advantage if we have evidence from one of the victims." Rey shrugged. "It's okay if you don't want to —"

"No, no it's fine."

"Okay, now tell me from Day 1."

"Well before I met Snoke I went by the name Ben Solo. I was pretty innocent and naive at the time. It was the last years of high school and this man started meeting me after school. He would never reveal his face but he would whisper lies and stories in my ears. He would promise me things I dreamed off: fame, respect, belonging. After a while of his saying this to me I finally joined him. He partnered me up with a boy who went by Hux and together we did his dirty work. This continued till about senior year. Snoke had become proud of my work and he elevated me above Hux and that made Hux angry. He'd been there longer and he thought he deserved it, not me. We drifted apart and soon I become a right hand man of Snokes. I did all his dirty work and in return I got my belonging. But it wasn't satisfying. This continued into college, well until I met you."

Rey felt a surge of guilt at the mention of his crush on her.

"You seemed different and I started to talk to you. You seemed to understand in ways other didn't. So I started to ask for help under the alias 'my friend' and you helped me. After that I realized I needed to get away from Snoke. I did but then my mother got into the case. He was furious and got the trial moved. Before it could happen he got you to kill us preferably so I could see the one I left his company for betray me in the end."

He sighed.

"And that's my story."

Rey was speechless, at the moment she didn't have much to say. "It's recorded — thank you." She nodded her head and Kylo's face dropped, he probably expected another answer from her.

"I'm sorry." She mumbled for what seemed to be the hundredth time. Rey knew there was no point in apologizing, the damage was done but she couldn't help herself.

"I said it's fine Rey." Kylo glanced at her before vanishing.

Rey sighed and placed her head in her hands.
