Chapter 4

Rey watched as Kylo continued to stare down at the note written. It was a shock to both of them especially since Kylo ended up dead.

Well who do you have to blame for that, Rey.

The guilt continued to stir in her stomach. The more she spent time with him, the more the guilt increased. Hopefully he would leave soon, or it would make things a lot harder for her.

"T-They knew?" Kylo choked up on his words as tears dripped down his face. She didn't know ghost could cry, at least until now.

"Kylo..."

He turned to look at her, yet he said nothing. Like there was anything to say anyway. Rey touched his shoulder in sympathy, surprisingly it felt human. This whole thing scared her, Kylo was a ghost, why could she touch him?

"Rey...I don't know anymore right now. Maybe you should go, we can talk tomorrow."

"Yeah okay."

She smiled weakly before walking out of the room.

Rey walked into the shop again and met with the same lady she saw before.

"I have another question..."

"Yes?"

"If someone you care about revives and comes back from being a ghost will you be able to see them again?"

"It depends. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. You never know where they are going to be born, they could end up living thousands of miles away!"

"Oh well, thanks anyway."

"Finn? Is it possible to possibly - you know like someone you killed?"

"What the fuck Rey? What do you even mean?"

"The son of the parents I killed is now a ghost and he's haunting me..."

"Are you fucking joking?"

"No I'm not I promise and now I feel guilty now that I know him!"

"I guess it's possible but it doesn't mean you could ever be together. Maybe it's karma speaking - cause you decided to be stupid and kill those innocent people. I'm tired Rey - goodnight."

Finn walked off from a defeated Rey.

"Kylo? Kylo?"

It was freezing outside and even in a jacket Rey was freezing. It was 2am and she was standing outside and shouting for someone who may not even come.

"Kylo!"

"Rey?"

She turned around and saw him.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came here to look for you. I need to talk to you -"

"Rey -"

"Please?"

"Fine - what is it?"

"Uh I don't know how to say this but - you know when you asked if you would see me again after you get recarnated? Well there isn't much of a chance. You might not even be born into a family near here! You could live millions of miles away! I won't see you again, so Ren after this whole investigation, it's done. My heart can't -"

"Your heart can't what?"

"Can't take all this guilt! Ren I feel horrible! Every moment spent with you makes it worse! I did this to you, I-I ruined your life, I'm sorry...'

Rey turned away and started to walk off.

"Wait," Ren grabbed her arm and spun her around.

"I forgot to give you something."

Before she could say anything, he kissed her
