He gets sick... (518 words)

"Damn it, Jim..." I muttered as he sneakily tried to jump out of the bed to go to the bridge. He's been feeling a little under the weather for the past few days up to the point where I had to send him to the medbay to get him checked out. Walking over to where he stood, I crossed my arms and looked at him sternly. "Where do you think you're going?"
He was face down on the floor as soon as I had raised my voice. His response to me was muffled yet quiet due to his sore throat. "I-uh-I was going to go to the bridge to check up on Chekov?"
"Nice try, Jim." I walked up to him and helped him stand up. "We both know that you were trying to go back to work."
"Damn it!" Jim whispered to himself as he got situated back in bed.
"You do remember what Bones told you, right?" I smirked at him whilst tossing the blankets at him and turned on the ceiling fan.
"Uhh, don't drink any alcohol while on the bridge?" Jim answered in a confused manner, having no idea what Bones had told him while he was in this condition.
"No! Well, I agree with that, but he said to take it easy and don't do too much. You don't want stress to make it worse." I winked at him before kissing his forehead and made my way towards him and helped him into the bed. "Now, I'm going to head out for my shift. Are you sure you'll be fine by yourself?"
"Yes, Y/N." Jim hoarsely spoke, "I'll be fine on my own..."
"Alright, I'll see you in a few hours, Jim."

"Keptin on ze bridge!" I heard Chekov yell and immediately my head whipped up to find the young ensign walk towards me. "He iz not zupposed to be here, right Y/N?"
"He is definitely not supposed to be here! Thank you, Pavel!" I handed him the reports for him to hold on to while I was gone.
"Uhh, you're wvelcome? I guess?" Pavel nodded his head before confusedly looking at the stacks of paper, "Ay yi yi..."

"Captain James. Tiberius. Kirk." I growled, making the entire bridge silent.
"He's right here!" Spock grabbed him by the ear with shrieks coming out of Jim's mouth.
"Ow. Ow. Ow! That definitely hurts! I see that you don't miss me, Mr. Spock." Jim muttered under his breath and Spock rolled his eyes.
"You certainly are correct, Captain." Spock nodded his head before calling up Bones.
"God damn it, Kirk..." Bones groaned before getting a hypo out to alleviate the symptoms of the flu for him. "He really doesn't follow instructions well."
"I know you love me, Bones..." Jim mumbled before passing out. I rolled my eyes and Bones shook his head.
"Yep, he is definitely delirious."
