We followed the shouts and screams of Murphy and Charlotte until we found them, along with Bellamy and a few other delinquents, in a secluded area at the edge of a cliff.

"Everybody needs to calm down, okay?" I said as I placed myself in between Murphy and Bellamy. I turned to Murphy, "This has gone too far. Let's all just calm down and talk it out, okay? We can work something out."

Murphy looked like he was thinking about my suggestion for a second. He then looked at me and smirked. Before I knew what was happening, he had grabbed my arm, twisted it around my back and pulled me to his chest with a knife at my neck.

"Let her go!" Finn said as he lunged for me.

"I will slit her throat," Murphy warned.

"No, please. Don't hurt her," Charlotte begged.

"Don't hurt her? Okay, let's make a deal. You come with me right now and I will let her go," Murphy sneered.

"No, no. Charlotte. Stay right where you are. Do not  do this for me, you understand?" I pleaded.

She tried to go to Murphy but Bellamy held her back, "Murphy, this is not happening."

"I can't let any of you get hurt anymore," Charlotte cried.

"Charlotte, listen to me, okay? No one is going to get hurt. We're going to handle this, okay? Just stay where you are," I begged.

"I can't. I can't let you guys get heard because of me. Not after what I did," Charlotte said before turning around.

"Charlotte, don't!" I said as I escaped Murphy's hold and ran after her.

I was too late. She jumped off the cliff into the darkness below. Then, Bellamy turned to Murphy and ran towards him, tackling him to the ground. Bellamy proceeded to punch Murphy several times in the face before I ran and pulled him off.

"Stop! You'll kill him!" I yelled.

"He deserves to die!" Bellamy shouted back.

"We do not decide who lives and dies down here. She jumped down there herself. We have to think of another punishment for him," I defended. "Look, we can't live by doing whatever the hell we want. We are on the Ground, we were given a second chance. We're being hunted by fucking Grounders and we are turning on each other instead of on them. We need to make rules, Bellamy."

"Okay, so who's gonna make those rules, huh? You?" Bellamy questioned.

"We are going to make the rules, Bellamy. You and I, okay?" I responded.

"So, what? We take him back and pretend like nothing happened? We all live happily ever after?" Bellamy argued.

"No. No," I turned to Murphy as an idea popped into my head. "We banish him."

Bellamy sighed and then picked up Murphy from the floor and pushed him towards the edge of the cliff, "If I ever catch you near camp, we'll be back here. Understand?"

Murphy weakly nodded and Bellamy threw him onto the floor.

I turned to the four boys that helped Murphy, "As for the four of you, you have a choice. Come back to camp and you will get put to work or you can go off with Murphy. Your choice."

The four boys sighed and walked away from Murphy, back towards camp. Finn and I stayed behind with Murphy for a few minutes. Finn gave Murphy a knife and I gave him my pack which had a flashlight, some T-shirts, water, a piece of meat and some string.

"Do yourself a favor and don't come back to camp. Also, don't cross the river, that's where Jasper was impaled," I advised before turning around and leaving with Finn.

I headed back towards camp with my arm looped through Finn's and the darkness of the night surrounding us.

We headed back to camp and rounded up the delinquents to explain what happened.

"...So, that's why we banished him," I concluded.

"Anyone have a problem with that?" Bellamy asked.

Nobody said anything as they all returned to what they were previously doing. Bellamy and I shared a worried look and then parted ways. I joined Clarke, Jasper, Octavia, Finn, and Monty in the drop ship. Monty started working on contacting the drop ship with Clarke's wristband.

"Will we be able to talk to them?" Clarke asked.

"No," Monty sighed. "More like Morse code," Monty played with a few more wires and then turned to Jasper, "Want to do the honors?"

Jasper moved forward and Monty handed him a wire. Jasper attached them to a port on a contraption that Monty made. The suspense was nerve wracking. In a few seconds, we could be talking to our family and friends on the Ark or still be trying to find another way to contact them. As soon as Jasper connected the wire, Monty's device sparked which caused all of the wristbands to fall off.

"What happened?" I asked.

"It didn't work," Monty sighed. "I think we fried all of the wristbands."

"Damn it," I sighed. "Well, thank you for trying, Monty. Is there any other way you can think of to contact anybody up there?"

I noticed Finn left the drop ship when Monty announced the news. I decided to leave Finn alone, knowing that when he is frustrated, things do not go well.

"I-I don't think so. Everything in the drop ship is fried. We don't have the bracelets. Hopefully a miracle will fall out of the sky sometime soon," Monty replied.

I sighed and then turned to look at how Octavia and Jasper were handling it. I saw Octavia lean in for a kiss and I nudged Monty to check out his best friend. When Jasper and Monty made eye contact, Monty gave Jasper a congratulatory thumbs up and Jasper returned it with a smile. I laughed at the two and then continued helping Monty figure out another way to contact the Ark.

I heard yelling from outside and thinking there was another fight, I ran to address the problem. However, the shouting was because of a bright red streak in the sky. I joined a shirtless Bellamy and stared at the sky.

"Wow, after all that you're still sleeping with any girl who so much as looks at you, huh?" I laughed.

He laughed and rolled his eyes, "So what do you think of that?" he gestured towards the object in the sky.

"Hopefully, it's some reinforcements," I replied.

"Now we can kick some Grounder ass!" a boy behind us shouted.

I laughed, "Well, hopefully they also brought some deodorant. We could all use some."

Bellamy laughed and continued to look at the pod that just opened its parachute. I noticed Bellamy's smile had disappeared quickly and was replaced with a look of worry. He swallowed hard and then walked back to his tent.

"What are you planning, Bellamy Blake?" I whispered to myself.
