Janus led me back home that night. I arrived as the teenagers had begun planting bombs. When I found Bellamy, he was pinning a boy against a tree and yelling at him and scaring the others.

"The bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time is up! The Grounders are out there right now, waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do. Clarke, Finn, Monty, and Athena are gone. Probably dead-" he ranted.

"Wow, now that's a new rumor going around camp, huh?" I pushed through the crowd of delinquents and stood next to Bellamy.

"Where the hell have you been?" Bellamy questioned angrily.

I ignored his question. "The Grounders are coming tomorrow," I turned to Bellamy but still addressed the crowd, "Don't ask how or why I know, but we need to prepare. Bellamy's right. Our time is up. Everyone needs to participate to keep us all alive. Keep in mind that one mistake can lead to multiple deaths. Get back to work."

I walked away from the crowd and headed back towards the dropship and Bellamy followed. I began to tend to last few teens that were still ill.

"So you're just going to pretend that you didn't go missing for the past few hours, Athena?" Bellamy asked as he stomped into the Ark.

"Bellamy, badgering me with questions doesn't help anybody," I noticed a new boy in the dropship, "What happened to him?"

"Grounders. He was with Finn and Clarke but he didn't see what happened to them. We found him about an hour ago," Bellamy informed as he calmed down and turned his attention to a model of a battlefield.

I tended to the boy's injuries which were not that severe. "I don't think that model will help. This is war, Bellamy, things change quickly."

Before Bellamy could answer, Jasper walked in with a somber look on his face. He stared at Bellamy and I until Bellamy faced him with the same look.

"Don't you think I want to go after them too?" Bellamy asked.

"If it was you out there, do you think Monty, Clarke, and Finn would hide behind these walls?" Jasper retorted.

"Jasper, there's nothing we can do at this moment. It's too dark to look for a trail and if there is one, we could lead ourselves right into a trap. Clarke, Finn, and Monty are strong and intelligent. We'll find them soon," I reassured.

Jasper laid down his gun and then turned towards the ladder. "Where do you think you're going?" Bellamy asked.

"More gunpowder for your minefield, sir," Jasper saluted and then proceeded to climb the ladder.

As I tended to the boy, I discovered I needed more cloth, which we held on the second level of the dropship. I followed Jasper up the ladder and then grabbed some torn up blankets and shirts. Then, I heard Bellamy's footsteps slowly walk out of the dropship.

I held the cloth underneath both arms and made my way to the first floor. As I carefully stepped down the ladder, I saw Murphy standing over the injured boy with a plastic bag to his face. I paused and watched Murphy as the boy ceased to move. Then, I tried to go back up the ladder to warn Jasper, but I accidentally hit the ladder with my knee which let out a loud bang. I turned to Murphy and smiled, trying to pretend that I had not just witnessed the murder.

"He stopped breathing. I was-" Murphy tried to clarify, "I was trying to help him."

I nodded and continued down the ladder and Jasper followed, smiled, looked at the gunpowder in his hands, and then left the dropship.

I glanced around the dropship and noticed the gun on the table that Jasper had left, then I turned to Murphy. "Oh, well, his injuries were pretty severe. I guess he just couldn't fight it anymore," I lied and slowly made my way to the gun.

Murphy stared at me for a while and then noticed the gun. Without a second thought, he lunged at it and so did I. He managed to grab it before I did and he cocked the gun, aimed it at me, and I responded by raising my hands in surrender.

"Murphy, relax. I won't tell anyone what you did-" I tried to distract him.

"He tried to kill me, Athena. You know what'll happen if you tell Bellamy," Murphy interrupted.

From the talkie I had received from Raven, Bellamy's voice sounded. "Tell Bellamy what?"

I silently cussed myself out and Murphy edged closer with the gun. "Give me the radio, Athena."

I backed up slowly and then quickly pulled out the talkie. "Murphy has a gun. He killed the boy-"

Murphy ran up to me and then hit me in the head with the butt of the gun. I saw Murphy run to the lever that closes the dropship door and then everything went black.

When I woke up, my hands were tied behind my back and I had a gag in my mouth. Octavia's voice sounded from outside the dropship. "Murphy! Murphy, I swear to God, if you even touch Athena, you're dead!"

I heard another voice quietly calm Octavia down. Then, Bellamy's voice came through the talkie. "Murphy, I know you can hear me. All our ammo and food is in the middle level. You know that. You're leaving us vulnerable to an attack."

Murphy picked up the radio. "Yeah, well, in case you haven't noticed, you're not exactly in control right now."

"Come on, Murphy. You don't want to hurt Athena, you want to hurt me," Bellamy's voice continued. "You let her go and I'll take her place."

I tried to protest but with the gag in my mouth, no words were pronounced clearly. Murphy looked at me and then held the talkie back to his mouth. "I don't think so, Bellamy. Athena will do for now."

He placed the talkie down on the table and then walked over to me, grabbing me by the arms and hoisted me up. He sat me on top of a chair in the middle of the room and began to pace.

The fear finally set in when I saw a smile creep onto his face as he walked towards me.
