Bellamy and I trekked for about two hours before we reached an old and deserted building with a small body of water thriving in the middle of it.
"The depot is around here somewhere," I said.
"Maybe there's a door," Bellamy suggested.
I nodded and looked at my surroundings before turning back to Bellamy. "Hey, are you going to talk to anyone on the Ark?"
"No, I don't have anyone up there to talk to," Bellamy sighed.
"Well, maybe you should talk to Jaha. I'm sure-"
"Did Clarke put you up to this? She wants me to talk to him too."
"No, she didn't. But, you should talk to him. He can be lenient and I'll be with you when you talk to him if you want."
"No, Athena. I tried to kill the man. That's not something you forgive and forget about. Anyway, let's split up and look for the door. We'll cover more ground that way."
I sighed and headed down towards the water. I stayed along the edge and used a stick to pat the leaf-covered ground. About ten minutes in, the stick I had hit something metal. I tapped it again to make sure I heard it right and then moved aside a pile of leaves. Underneath was a metal trapdoor.
"Bellamy!" I shouted as I walked back to where I had last seen him, "I found a door."
Bellamy followed me down the edge of the water towards the door and we tried to open it but it was rusted shut. Bellamy pulled out an axe and hit the handle on the door a few times until it creaked open a bit. Together, we pulled open the door and inside was a stairwell that led down into darkness. When we reached the bottom, we turned on our flashlights. My flashlight shone on a sign that read "Emergency Aid Depot #23."
"You really think this place hasn't been touched since the war?" Bellamy asked.
"I hope so or else we won't survive winter," I sighed.
We walked around a corner and were met with another flight of stairs. As we stepped down, there was a decayed body sitting on the stairs.
"Hell of a place to die," Bellamy stated.
"Hell of a place to live," I corrected. "This place is disgusting."
Bellamy and I once again split up but remained in the same room as we began looking for supplies. I opened a large bin that held bright orange blankets.
"Hey, I found blankets!" I said gleefully.
"You're excited about a couple of blankets?" Bellamy asked as he threw down glow sticks on the floor that illuminated the room.
"We have food but nothing to keep us warm, Blake. So damn right I'm excited about a coupled of blankets," I scoffed.
"Well what would be better is a med kit, a canteen or a decent fucking tent!" Bellamy shouted angrily.
"We still have this entire room to look for stuff. Relax, Bellamy," I comforted.
He walked towards a barrel and dipped his hand in and a look of disappointment and anger washed over his face. He stepped back and then proceeded to kick the barrel down, spilling its contents. Hearing sounds that didn't sound like water, I walked over to the barrel and shone my flashlight on it.
"Oh, my God," I smiled as I picked up a gun. "Are you happy now, Bellamy?"
Bellamy smiled and picked up a gun. "So, Princess. Do you know how to shoot a gun?"

In the doorway, Bellamy hung up a blanket and painted a large 'X' in the middle of it. I stood in front of it a few feet away with the guns.
"This is great. No more running away from spears. We can fight back now," Bellamy smiled with glee. "Ready to be a bad ass, Athena?"
"I'm already a bad ass, thank you. And we have to be careful with these guns, Bellamy. I agree we need them but in the wrong hands, things can get fucked up real quick."
"We're lucky the rifles were packed in grease. The fact they survived means we're not sitting ducks anymore. So, come on. Let's practice."
I sighed and nodded, picked a rifle up and placed it on my shoulder. "I just hold it here?" I tried to clarify.
Bellamy placed a hand on my other shoulder and one on the gun. "Yeah, now just a little higher. Yeah, okay, that's, uh, good. Now, watch and learn."
He grabbed a rifle and placed it on his shoulder, his eye lining up with the scope. When he was lined up with the middle of the 'X,' he pulled the trigger which didn't let out a bullet but inside a loud click. Bellamy unloaded the empty bullet and placed a new one inside. Once again, he lined up with the 'X' and pulled the trigger; a loud click emitting.
"Still watching..."
"My bullets are duds. Try yours."
I stepped in front of Bellamy and mimicked his actions. I lined the scope with the middle of the 'X' and pulled the trigger. I hit right above the center.
I turned around and faced Bellamy. "That. Was. Amazing!" I laughed. "Wait, is that bad? Should I feel this happy after shooting a gun?"
Bellamy laughed. "Try again."
"We shouldn't waste the ammunition, though. We still have more people to teach back at camp."
"You need to practice."
"No, we need to talk about what we're going to do with these guns when we get back to camp. Who's going to carry one? Where are going to keep them? How are we going to train people?"
Bellamy ignored my questions and proceeded to pick up a gun, load it, line it up and shoot. He shot just to the right of the center.
"You left Miller in charge of the Grounder so you must trust him right?"
"Miller's a good guy. You should keep him close. The others listen to him."
"Wait, why should I keep him close? He's already your right hand man. Bellamy, what's going on? You've been acting kinda weird today," I glanced at his pack and remembered the rations. "All the rations and wanting to find a canteen, med kit and tent... You want to run, huh?"
"I don't have a choice. The Ark will be here soon."
"So, you're just going to leave Octavia? What about me? The others back at camp? You're just going to abandon us?"
"Athena, stop. Everyone back there hates me. They're afraid of me. When the Ark comes down, I'll be locked up with the Grounder. I won't give Jaha that satisfaction," Bellamy snapped. He placed his gun on the floor and started to walk out the depot, "Keep practicing. I need some air."
