Man, I kinda have mixed feelings about this.
A good repost account is one that...
-mentions and credits the artist or original creator
-asks for permission from the artist or original creator before posting said piece/content
I follow some repost accounts, but only the good, responsible ones.
If you run a repost account, I hope you're crediting and asking for permission. That is the fucking best thing you could do.
After all, we are letting people view our content without charge, the majority of us.
I know y'all are confused of what I just said, but let me explain;
When you want to listen to a song on iTunes or something like that, you have to pay for the song.
When you want to look at art in a museum, you have to pay to come in and look at it.
Got it?
Honestly, when someone reposts my work, the only thing I fucking want and truly makes my day is if that person asks for permission and credits me.
That is the god best thing.
But, here's the thing.
Asking permission is the most important thing. If some artist put on their site or bio that you may repost their art, that gives you the ticket, but you must credit.
How are the viewers to know who was the original creator? They'd probably assume it was you, even tho it wasn't.
And if you agree then you were just caught in the act of stealing.
All I want is permission, my dear reposters.
Permission is the brightest thing.
