I mean, is Ashton ready to be a father of two after he abandoned them?
Does he realize that his son doesn't even recognize him anymore?

"Calum." Luke snapped his fingers in front of me.
"Uh sorry. Just thinking."
Luke sat down on the bed next me.
"I would give you advice, but I don't know what to say. But you need to listen to your heart, and do what you want."
I rubbed my face.
"I don't know what I want. I want what the kids want."
"Then why don't you go ask them?"
"Do you know how hard it is to explain to your kids that their father left because I got pregnant and he wants to come back?"
"Momma?"
Why don't they knock?!
I see both Caitlin and Thomas standing outside my bedroom door, in their pajamas.
"I thought you two were supposed to go to bed?"
"The thunder scared us." Caitlin mumbled into her stuffed cat animal.
"Who's our daddy?" Thomas asked.
"I'll just go back to my place. Tell me how it goes." Luke said and he left the room.
"Okay you two over here." I told the kids to sit on my bed.
"Now Thomas I don't know if you remember, but when you were 2, your dad left."
"I don't remember having a dad. Why did he leave?"
I sighed.
"He didn't want another baby."
"Me?" Little Caitlin asked.
"I'm sorry sweetie. Why is this coming out so harsh?"
Caitlin looked like she wanted to cry all over again.
Caitlin was the type of kid who wanted everyone to love her, and be proud of her.
I'm afraid of what she'll be like when she's older.
"You two have a decision. Your dad wants to make up the time he missed without you guys. Do you want to see him, or not?"
"No!" Thomas yelled.
"Calm down buddy. What's wrong?"
"He left you momma! remember you were talking to uncle Lukey about daddy when we lived there. Daddy is not a nice man. I don't want to meet him."
"Caitlin how do you feel?"
"I don't wanna see daddy either." She pouted.
"Are you telling the truth? You don't need to agree with your brother."
She shook her little head.
"No daddy."
"It's just gonna be the three of us forever then."
