*blows off dust*
Gosh I haven't seen this book in months!
UPDATESSSSSSSIt was a regular afternoon in the Hemmings-Clifford household.
Luke was with his husband of 3 years Michael doing their regular scheduled day.
Michael layed on the couch continuously rubbing his 9 month bump.
"Hey Luke?" Michael called out.
The blonde boy made his way over to his very pregnant husband.
"I'm getting these weird cramps. Do you think he's coming today?"Michael told worried.
"Maybe... Here lemme get you some water and you can relax alright? I'll grab the baby bag just incase if our little guy wants to arrive today."Luke kissed his boyfriend before turning around to get water and the baby bag. What Michael did not know was that he actually was in labor, but pushed the feeling aside until he felt harsh pressure.
The lad screamed as he cradled his arms around his belly.
Luke ran from the nursery with the baby bag in hand and handing straight to his husband.
He looked and saw his love bent over in pain.Luke rushed over to his husband without a word and helped the poor boy walk to the car.
"Luke it hurts." Michael whimpered.
Luke scrambled to the car with the boy in his arms.On the way to the hospital crying, screams and curses were spoken by the pained boy.
Once they had arrived two nurses were already heading towards the vehicle with a wheelchair.
We got into our room and the nurses helped Michael onto the bed and check how dilated he is.
"5cm! Half way there love." The nurse said. "Would you like an epidural?"
Michael nodded furiously.
"Please."
The nurse gave him scrubs and left the room to get the epidural."Luke's help me!" Michael whined.
I undid he pants and had him hold my shoulders as he pulled them down.
"Up!" I said as he lifted his arms in the hair for me to take off his shirt.
I put the scrub on him and tied it in the back.He turned around and waddled back to the bed.
"Your adorable." I said.
"Shut up." He scoffed.A few minutes after then I saw Michael scrunch up his face and his hands placed on the sides of his bump.
"Luke get the doctor. Something's wrong."
I quickly went into the hallway and called out to the doctors out there.
"What's wrong?" One doctor rushed.
"Something doesn't feel right. It's not a contraction." Michael panted.
The doctor swiftly pulled out the ultrasound machine and checked up on Michael. He then did a echocardiography test on the baby.
While checking up on him the doctor called for back up."Get this boy into c-section room now."
"What's going on?" I asked scared.
No one would listen to me. Everyone was rushing back and forth and bringing Michael into the other room.
"Sir please you can't be in here." One of the nurses pushed me back.
"I'm not leaving till I know what's going on with my husband and my baby." I demanded.
I looked over at Michael and saw doctors and nurses wiring him up to different machines.
He looked so scared and I wasn't able to do anything."The baby's heart is failing. The heart rate is slowing down by the minute and we need to do an emergency c-section as soon as possible."
She then escorted me to the waiting room where my family, Michaels family, Ashton and Calum were.
Their heads shot up at the sight of me and instantly asked questions.
"Is Michael alright?"
"Is the baby okay?"
"Why are you out here?"
"Guys! I don't know anything yet. Michael had to go into an emergency c-section because the baby's heart is failing. So please just stop asking questions because I don't have the answer to them."
Everyone got quiet and stared at me with sympathy.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What felt like hours of waiting about my husband and my sons health a doctor made his way over to us.
"Michael Clifford?"
Our heads immediately picked up.
I ran up to the doctor and asked the obvious question. "Is he okay?"
"Michael is okay. The baby is what we had problems with. He had a series of heart problems and if we didn't get him into surgery at that time it's likely neither of them would've made it." The doctor told me. "But thankfully both of them are okay. But we will have to do future testing on the baby to make sure he won't have any heart problems when he's older."
I nodded and went back to the room Michael was in.
He was still sleeping when I went in. He looked peaceful. Many minutes later there was a knock on the door.
"Come in."A nurse rolled in with a small carriage with a blue bundled blanket.
"He is all clear for testing. Michael is all good too. But they would have to stay for a couple days just to make sure." She wheeled the carriage to me and I saw a little baby inside sleeping.
I was too scared to even pick him up."Do you want help?" The nurse asked.
"I'm scared I'll hurt him." I whispered, but loud enough she heard.
"You won't hurt her hun. Here hold his head with your elbow and hold his bum."
She picked up the baby and placed him in my arms. He started to squirm but got comfortable.
"Oh baby boy. He's beautiful." Tears were starting to fall.
"He's gonna be a looker." The nurse joked.
"So what's the little fellas name?""Parker Reilly Hemmings-Clifford."
I looked down at the small baby that layed in my arms.
The nurse had then left the room."Luke?" I heard and saw that Michael was awake.
"Hey babe. How ya feeling?" I asked.
"Stomach is a bit sore. But I'm alright." His eyes landed on Parker. "Is that him?"
I nodded. "Wanna hold him?"
Michael slowly sat up and held out his arms.
It was hard, but I gave Parker to Michael."Oh my god he's beautiful. Is he alright?" Michael asked.
"Yeah, he's perfectly fine. But the doctors want you two to stay for a couple more days just incase."
He nodded not taking his eyes off of Parker.
"He is so beautiful. He's got your hair, my nose, your chubby cheeks."
"Hey my cheeks aren't that chubby." I say as I squish my cheeks making sure.
"Shut up Luke."
