Leo hit his head against a tree.

He forgot to bring it! Of all the things to forget he just had to pick this one! How could he! Right after he had crossed into Manhatten he realized he wasn't wearing his tool belt.

He landed somewhere in the middle of the park, scaring a bunch of people as he soared above them trying to land (there were a lot of pointing and oohs and ahhs making Leo wonder what they saw),turned Festus to the size of a labrador before rummaging through his backpack on top of a large rock.

He groaned as he flopped down next to the tree as Festus coiled around Leo's leg sympathetically clicking away: Leave it.

He needed to make another one, it just wasn't something Leo could actually live without unless he wanted his life to be really hard, he really needed all of those materials, he only had a limited amount of money, something he had been saving up from all the years on the road around $2000, he didn't want to use more than $300. It was always his limit, no matter what happens.

He took a quick glance around, shivering as a cold autumn breeze blew by him.

---------------------

He winced as he pricked his finger with the needle he was piercing through the leather. He his hand  in his mouth quickly before tieing the finishing knot with one hand, he looked at it with contempt. He wanted to make a toolbelt but the store didn't have the material his old tool belt was made of, so he ended up making a leather messenger bag.

He held it in front of him and started to think about his most happy memories, his mom tickling him as he tried to run away, attaching Festus' wings as he tried to shake him off. As he did, he felt the familiar prickling of olympian magic coarse through his arms and into the bag.

Leo shut down the memories after a while before slinging the bag over his shoulders, getting the feel of it.

He stuffed his hand inside, before pulling out a small glinting piece of metal. He nodded to himself before putting it back inside. The bag was a lot larger than the pockets of his tool belt, he started unpacking his bag and filling everything into his new bag.

He slung it over his shoulder and prompted Festus , who was sniffing his new bag, to follow him.

With Festus safely hidden under his bracelet, he took off into the park.

-----------------------

"Psst!"

Leo looked to his right, frowning, he could have sworn he had heard someone. Shaking his head, he started walking again.

"Psst! Over here son of Hephestus!"

Leo stopped cold, no one calls him by that but the gods. He looked to the right again, his eyes roving over a large tree, there was a huge rock behind it a forest of bushes surrounded it.

That's when he saw it, but" it" was more of a "her". She was a middle-aged nymph sitting on the rock that Leo was looking at. As he got closer he realized she was pretty tan, like the rock she was sitting on. Her hair was a few shades darker than her skin, kind of like his. Her large eyes were coffee black. her dress matching perfectly to the rock.

She was gesturing to him frantically. Leo didn't know what to make of her, she tried to stay away from most nymphs if they actually ever took notice of him, they're known to be really persistent, gossip queens. He did not want them spreading the word that a lone demigod was hanging around new york. His brethren would probably find him, even though he wasn't planning to stay here longer than a few days.
