"Lia, do you want to come to the store? I'm going to the store, Mike is dropping Tristin off at Elise's and you need to get out of the house." Megan asked, but more so stated.
"I don't really want to" I mumbled.
It had been about a month almost two since Josh and I had broken up. He moved in with Amanda, whom I was still friends with. They were doing great. While I was trying my hardest to be supportive and to not get jealous, I found myself going out and out less. It was so hard to see the one I love, loving somebody else.
The worst fact of it all; was that I knew I had told Josh to be with her. I let him go. Deep down I knew it was for the best, but it still hurt a lot.
"I can't take this anymore, you haven't opened up to me at all. I don't know whats going on in your head, Tristin is constantly asking whats wrong with Aunt Lia. Emelia open up to me, come outside. Get dressed and then get your heart broken ass out and into my car." She snapped.
I finally pushed her over the edge. And now all I could feel was guilt.
"Okay" I mumbled slowly standing up.
Megan was right, I needed to get over this. Over him, he was the past. My relationship with him was over and I needed to move on.
Quickly walking out of the living room, I walked into the spare bedroom that thankfully Mike and Megan had been letting me stay in. Grabbing some fresh clothes, I walked into the bathroom took the fastest shower and then got dressed. Putting my wet hair into a braid, I looked in the mirror and nearly threw up.
The bags under my eyes were intense, my eyes were dull, even when I tried to smile you could tell I wasn't happy.
Deciding not to stare in the mirror at my disgusting self, I walked back into the living room.
"Ready" I whispered.
"Thatta girl" Megan said pulling me into a hug.
Smiling a little, Megan and I walked out of the house and got into the car.
"What do we need at the store?" I asked the bubbly blonde girl who was singing along to some random song on the radio.
"Milk, chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate." Megan said laughing.
"Somebody's on her period"I chuckled.
"Exactly!" Megan exclaimed.
Pulling into the parking lot, Megan quickly parked the car and then practically ran into the store. Following behind her quickly, I grabbed a cart and then followed her through the isles.
"Reese's or kitkat?" She asked, biting her lip.
"I don't eat chocolate, so I don't know" I said laughing.
"Both it is then" She said placing the chocolate bars into the cart.
"You go find the milk and yogurt, and I'll go get some more junk. Once a month I get a cheat week." Megan said laughing.
Rolling my eyes, I pushed the cart and walked over to the dairy section.
Scanning the different types of yogurt, I quickly decided on which brand to get and then placed it in the cart.
"I been pushing for this for so long. Kiss me, just once, for luck, these are desperate measures now"
The familiar tune that I had once loved came through the crappy speakers of the grocery store.
