What is the oldest way in the book to get out of a place? You don't know? Well I'll tell you.. it's faking a phone call. Pathetic I know, but I felt like both of them were not buying my whole amnesia story.. I mean at first Chloe bought it, but Lucifer was a whole other story and that's why she became suspicious.

So that's what I did my friends. After I drank the beverage on my table I suddenly looked at my phone and then put it on my ear.

"Hello.. yeah what about my apartment, oh sorry I totally forgot about that I'm coming right now." I finished the "call" and looked at both of them and stuttered out that I forgot I needed to meet the landlord so he wouldn't kick me out of the house and ran as fast as I can out of the cafe.

I need to find out how to get back, I'm starting to feel helpless. I don't know anyone here. Tears fell from my eyes. I wondered what my friends and family thought happened to me. Since I couldn't lie in front of the devil and I didn't know what my next step is, I felt like I was going to burst crying again, however this time I held it in but I didn't see someone in front of me so I bumped into him. I looked up to see the person, and frankly I wish I hadn't..

"Well what a surprise... Ellion Anderson" Lucifer grinned. Just my luck

"hey Mr. Morningstar-" A fake smile was on my lips in less than a second.

"Call me Lucifer. So what happened with your landlord, did he kick you out?" He looked at me like he knew I was lying, He leaned closer and whispered "You can't lie to the devil, sweetheart."

"Whaat..." my voice squeaked a bit.. I cleared my throat, leaned back, and answered determined not to admit that he was right "I-I was not lying. I told you the truth"

"Oh really.. well if you don't tell the truth ms Anderson about what you were doing at the crime scene, I'll just have to take you to the station as a suspect and ask you a few questions." a wicked grin was painted on his face. Translation: he was going to suck the answers out of me.

"You can't take me anywhere because you're not even a detective or a police officer" I scoffed before realizing my mistake. Idiot idiot idiot you're not supposed to know that..

"and how do you know that?" I could tell he was starting to lose his patience. "You're hiding something and soon enough you're going to find detective Decker knocking at your door taking you with her to the station, and you don't want the police to keep searching and finding that you don't exist before 3 weeks. So its your decision dear you come with me, I'll ask you some questions and then you'll be on your way, or you can wait till the police take you in for questions."

I knew there was no other choice, I couldn't go to the police as a suspect, and I would have to answer all their questions. So I smiled sweetly and said the words that made him grin like a Cheshire cat

"You're place or mine?"

.............................................................................

Is it weird that I feel like i would've been safer with the police than here with Lucifer in Lux?

"whiskey?" he offered while pouring a glass for himself

"No thank you" I felt a bit awkward, the bar was empty and we were alone.

"So tell me Ellie-"

"no more ms Anderson?" I raised my eyebrow with a small smile

"Well at least not now" A small smile on his lips, "So.. tell me what is it that you desire most? when you close your eyes what do you see?"

His eyes were burning holes in me. Just tell him, won't it be good to have it off your shoulders?

No don't, this is his influence on you. Don't give in to it.

"I-I.. I-" it almost felt like I couldn't control my mouth, that's how much I wanted to answer all his questions and tell him all he wants.

"C'mon Ellie don't you want to tell me? I know you want to. Just tell me and I'll help you." His hand touched mine lightly.

"I.. I want to.. I-I." I took a deep breath "I don't want to tell you. Stop it. It won't work.." I looked at him heatedly. A look of surprise crossed his face. "Did my father send you?"

"I don't think so" I said slowly, "So what did you want to ask me about?"

"How about we leave the questions for later, hmm?~" he smiled uncertainly and poured another glass and sipped from it.

"Well then I should get goi-" he cut me off and came on the other side of the bar to sit beside me.

"I'm prepared to offer you a deal." He looked at me, "You said you don't know anybody, and you have no papers, right?"

I looked at his eyes and tried to find out if this is a good idea "Yeah, what about it?"

He smirked "Well, I can offer you a place to stay and I have someone who can finish all your papers so what do you say love?"

I narrowed my eyes, his deal was good, too good in fact. but there was one thing left "What do you want in return?"

"Oh nothing much, just that you'll give me three wishes~" He kept the grin on his face which was widening by the second. Okay so take my chances with his deal, or live with no papers, identity, and till the money runs out without finding out why I'm here and how I came. Well the answer was clear, and besides, I don't think we will meet again.

"OK deal. but where would I stay?" He smiled triumphantly.

"You'll live with Detective Decker of course." I nodded and stood up. "I'll see you later, darling. Remember the deal, you owe me."

I gulped and took a deep breath "OK. Thanks." I gave him a small smile, then turned around to leave.

I didn't know at the time that my deal with the devil would cost me a lot..
