"Ellie I'm coming to pick you up." Were the first words I heard from Chloe the next day on the phone. I dressed up and got ready and then went out to find Chloe with Lucifer waiting in the car.

Does he always have to be here..

The show is about him, of course he has to!

"hey.." I said while looking at the window and avoiding lucifer. "So where are we going?"

"We're going to get some drinks as a celebration of our first official case together." Lucifer looked at me. So i decided to act like his text was no big deal, I mean what could I do?

"Sure" I said then looked at the window at the streets passing by. I saw his gleeful expression fade and then it came up full blown when he popped the dreadful question.

"So, Did you receive my text yesterday?" Lucifer smirked slyly as he gauged my expression and I think that my reaction was exactly what he expected..

"Whaat? I mean what text?" I cleared my throat after my voice squeaked at first, god this is embarrassing. I can't lie in front of anyone with my voice squeaking like that!

He muttered something that sounded like "terrible liar"

"Hey!" I protested when I heard that although I knew it was true. He just smirked and then looked out the window.

"What text?? Am I missing something here?" Chloe asked narrowing her eyes at both of us.

"Oh just a little deal I made with our dear Ellie here and she refuses to acknowledge my I O U, but that's just probably my imagination right love?" Lucifer asked as if he was talking about the weather, but I knew he was feeling exactly the opposite when he said love and looked right at me as if daring me to say otherwise. Damn! "Yeah p-probably"

"But no worries, I'll tell you what I want at the end of the case.." he said coolly

"S-still don't know what your talking about." I said looking at the window and avoiding looking at him like the plague.

Damn the stupid stuttering!

"Liar liar pants on fire~" He looked at me with a develish smile.

"God help me, I'm sitting with a five year old guy" I muttered tiredly.

"And we were having so much fun, why does everyone have to bring my father into the conversation?!" He sighed exasperated.

I looked at the streets ignoring his comment, thinking about how I would get out of this.

Yesterday when I saw his text I felt my stomach flipping like crazy... I mean I didn't think I'd meet him anywhere again but he's turning up everywhere. I can't help but think that he'd want something outrageous. Although some part of me is fangirling but the other part is worried.. ALOT, I mean he's the devil for heaven's sake! Maybe I can just play dummy.. No I can't do that, he won't let me. Why did I make that stupid deal?!

So you can have a job and exist in this world, idiot.

Oh, right.

"We met Benny at Lucifer's apartment and he gave us some leads like I told you yesterday." Chloe started talking.

"Why did he meet you at Lucifer's apartment?

"Well this guy here conveniently left out that he gave a favor to a former gang leader, and so he knows Lucifer."

"As I've said I've been giving favors for thousands of years!" He defended himself.

"Good for you old man.." I exclaimed sarcastically. He looked at me then smirked devilishly "I also distinctly remember that one of the favors was for you dear Ellie, so lets see what the old man has in store for you eh?" I humphed and went silent a bit. I remembered that in this episode we would go to the bar, and that Chloe had.... shot him in the leg.. How could I forget that?!

We arrived at the bar. It was called The Paddock bar, I sat in the middle. Lucifer looked at the man beside him and said something while the man touched his suit and then Lucifer said " that will do." and then turned back to us.

She told Lucifer to order. He ordered three shots and me and Chloe ordered water, and then glanced back at her his attention returning again. That's when she asked the question that all people are curious about.

"So what's your deal? Are you a conman, a dealer, a god father with a twist?" She looked at him and I looked as well to hear his answer.

"Well surely you've heard the expression." He said looking at us. "Deal with the devil? You've gotta be kidding me." Chloe scoffed, he continued "I offer them what they want and I get what I want like Ellie here.." I frowned at him, "and sometimes I give favors and simply get repaid at a later date"

"Who would take a deal like that?" She exclaimed not believing that a person could in-debt himself to a stranger who pretends he's the devil.

"They all do." He said surprised she even asked the question., and glanced at me briefly. Just then a man came and took his drink and then looked hatefully at Chloe and hissed "Palmetto bitch." before going back to his buddies who all looked disdainfully at Chloe as well and some glances at us. She drank a shot and then looked in front of her.

"Well someone's not going to be homecoming queen. Do tell!" Lucifer smiled curiously and looked at Chloe waiting for her to spill.

"Yeah isn't the Palmetto case where you found me unconscious??" I asked her. Why would I be found in that place especially. Malcolm gives me the creeps..

"Yeah.. It's Anthony Palouchi" She said, "He's the partner of Malcolm Graham. It was the Palmetto case, and we had opposing views. There was a dealer and they thought Malcolm took the bullet like a hero, but I.. followed my gut and said that he was on in the deal.." She trailed off.. "and then when we checked, we found you unconscious in one of the rooms beside the scene."

"Did you find anything weird in the room??" Lucifer asked his interest growing.

"No we only found Ellion unconscious and nothing to help us." Damn! They didn't find anything else!

"But going back to the original point.. You're a snitch! No wonder everyone hates you" He deadpanned still with the slight smile on his face.

"Always count on the dear o' prince of the darkness to say just the right words to cheer you up!" I said sarcastically cheerful and looked at him sarcastically. He smiled back with equal sarcasm.

"Yeah thanks man that really helped" She said sarcastically as well, then she looked ahead again.

"but seriously you know what they say 'snitches end up in ditches'" He said stupidly again after giving a brief smile.

"Thanks man I really appreciate the words of encouragement you offer" She again answered sarcastically.

"Still no excuse for that man's rudeness" he said while standing up but just before he went she grabbed his arm "I don't need you to stand up for me, seriously its ok.."

"Understood." Lucifer said that and then went to the group. "Let me just explain that I'm in no way standing up for my friend Detective Decker, and that in my opinion and only mine I personally think you're a sack of ass." and then he punched the guy in the face.

Cue fangirling!

"Punch him in the face again woo!" I clapped excitedly. He smiled amused at me and Chloe's mouth dropped at us. While the others in the bar looked at me with the same expression as Chloe.

"You idiots!! Let's go!"
