Chapter 13

The thing is.. when in doubt slap yourself silly. Once I woke up from the shock after eating the ice cone Lucifer gave me. I couldn't believe what happened. Was I in a coma? Is this like a vision between dimensions? And where did I go? The missing poster can mean that either I was kidnapped and I'm still in a coma or I'm here that's why I'm missing there, and if this is a coma can I wake myself up??

Hmm interesting idea..

No harm in trying...

I stopped walking and decided if I needed to wake up I needed something hard to wake me up not just a pinch.. but what?

"Ellie everything alright?" Chloe looked back and Lucifer looked at me as well stopping his rant about partners and fish and chips.

Too bad I was already in too deep in my thoughts to hear them. I'm gonna do it.

"Going to do what?"

I closed my eyes tight, raised my hand and slapped myself. Hard! Shit it hurts sooo freaking much!!!

I opened one eye then the other looking around to see if anything changed only to find Lucifer and Chloe blinking with their jaws almost at the floor. Shit..they saw that didn't they..

"A fly!" A squeaky voice came from my mouth followed by a nervous laugh that could fool absolutely no one, I cleared my throat then said it again "I h-hate nasty bugs and I thought one was on my face so I just..uh.. moving on." I laughed nervously then went beside them. They blinked again before they shook their heads.

We kept on walking then with me feeling relieved that the moment passed.

"Hey Ellie I saw you spacing out when Lucifer was practically choking the guy, you okay? Did this trigger something in your memory about why you were found in the middle of the palmetto case?" She asked genuinely and Lucifer had a smug expression on his face.

Something like that "Nope" I said feigning disappointment. She looked at me a bit more before moving to Lucifer who I found his eyes still on me as if he's trying to solve a puzzle.

"Lucifer I'm still not finished with you. What's in the container?" She stressed on the question.

"Just personal stuff nothing more. You know detective if we're gonna be working together you need to trust me." He stopped walking trying to persuade her.

"You're right.." she said which made me glance at her with a raised eyebrow then at Lucifer who had a winning smile that dropped as soon as Chloe continued, "..we shouldn't work together. C'mon Ellie." She started walking again.

"Yes sir. Sorry Lucy" I smiled innocently at him then walked after her. Lucifer came after us again saying "Aren't we making this a tad bit dramatic?"

"Lucifer I wanted to be partners because you were helpful and honest but now for some reason you're hiding something for some reason and I don't like it." She said looking at him trying to make him understand.

"Chloe I'm sure Lucifer isn't storing any illegal stuff. I mean sure he has one of the biggest clubs in Los Angeles and he drinks and he's a bit shady also the whole devil persona-"

"Not helping darling~" Lucifer glared at me with a smile.

"Oh sorry hehe.." I smiled sheepishly" but the point is I think he wouldn't be hiding something really illegal you know. You need to trust him Chloe."

"Okay okay stop it you two but this is not over." She pointed at Lucifer the last bit. She started walking while me and Lucifer stood for a moment. "Wow Ellie darling I didn't know you loved me that much." He leaned a bit towards me while the corners of his mouth were turning a bit upwards.

"Don't start" I groaned then walked behind Chloe. He smirked smugly then started walking  as well.

Although Chloe said that she's gonna drop the subject for now, it still didn't stop her from separating from Lucifer after he asked about the diablo gang. Apparently it was a conflict of interest. So that's how I found myself on my way back home after both went the other way. That flashback bothered me a lot. I mean I can't be missing, can I? What the hell is happening? How did I get into this mess? Why can't I just go back? Nostalgia washed through me while I remembered all the moments between me and my family and Christina..

I sighed just as I looked up and found myself in front of Chloe's house. I opened the door and started looking around for my laptop as soon as I went inside my room. After a couple of minutes I started searching on the internet for a way to solve the predicament I was in. I started searching for parallel worlds, coma effects, anything that can help me. After a while, I closed the laptop in frustration at finding absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch.

I mean seriously, doesn't anyone get transported from one place to another mysteriously?! I can't possibly be the only one who has gone through this! C'mon people!!

Ok I need to calm down.. Calm.. Breathe.. Rainbows.. Sunshine.. Yeah, I'm actually starting to feel calm. Note sarcasm.

I started pacing around. The sun was setting and I felt disappointment seeping through. I realized that the only thing I could do was keep with the order of the episodes since the only thing I can think about that has a connection with all this, is that I got transported into Lucifer's world. Not just any world, particularly this one. One question was still ringing through my head though. According to the flashback I had, I entered a coma after watching Lucifer, and then went missing, but what happened that made me go into a coma in the first place? and that white light on the television's screen.. before I found myself here...

I tried to remember what was next in this episode but my mind went blank. I guess I just need to wait and see what will happen.
