Chapter 14

I wonder if anyone knows what it would be like if they went splat! like Tom and Jerry after getting hit by a truck...

Well... I was jerry and the truck was literally a.. truck.

So, I can tell you the feeling very clearly since that's what I'm feeling right now. Let's rewind a bit to get the gist of the following events.

A day earlier...
After Lucifer and Chloe separated, Chloe called me again and told me to meet her at the bikers club where she and Lucifer were going inside to meet the leader of the gang. When I arrived there, I found Lucifer and Chloe waiting in the car and watching the front entrance of the club. I snuck in the car quietly, then whispered "hey guys whatcha doing?"

They looked at me quickly, then the surprise wore off their faces and Luci was the first to answer me. "Well, detective here thinks the leader we talked to knows who's the one behind it all, and he's gonna go there now. If you ask me, I think—"

Just then Chloe shushed us quickly as we saw a man in his late forties or early fifties talking angrily on the phone while going over to his bike.

"You were saying?" The detective said before she started the engine and went after the leader. We followed them to a deserted place where the leader appeared to shout at the guy who I learned that his name was Renny. Suddenly, Renny pulled out the gun, shot the leader in the chest, then fled with his bike. Chloe immediately called for back up and they both went out of the car, but Lucifer didn't go with Chloe towards the leader he went to the driver's seat and started the car going after Renny.

"Hey, What are you doing?!" I exclaimed loudly, as we kept the chase after the bike's rider. I tasted my food again as Lucifer was going top speed to catch up with the guy. Thankfully, we stopped before anything was out of my mouth.

I hope he doesn't do anything rash. I thought Oh who am I kidding?! Lucifer and rash in the same sentence.. No way!

Shivers went down my spine as I saw Lucifer's scary smile when we arrived. Renny ran quickly towards the building as he saw us coming after him. "Lucifer, I think we should wait for Chloe to come so that we can handle it the right wa-"

"Oh I think I can handle this quite well, don't you say Renny?" His voice was menacing as he shouted the last part before some shots fired and both of us hid behind containers. A moment later, we heard empty clicks of a gun with no bullets and Lucifer's full blown scary face went back with an evil gleam. Renny was climbing a ladder which led to the roof and Lucifer was right behind me "That tingling sensation down your spine, inevitability. The bit right down your leg, fear."

Oh my God he is gonna kill the bloody guy!

Well technically Renny won't be bloody till after Lucifer kills him... what the hell am I thinking right now?!

I continued running after him till I followed them on a ladder hoping Chloe would break in any second now to stop Lucifer from whatever he was planning on doing. He broke he door to the roof and finally cornered Renny.

It would have been really helpful if the episode had paused after this part. Focus Ellion!

"Now you give me what is mine!" I was standing between Lucifer and Renny as Lucifer kept on going slowly forward towards him.

"Wasn't my idea I swear." Renny said trying to calm Lucifer, "he didn't tell me what was in the container. But I looked, I saw!" He sounded so awed and frightened.

"Who stole them?" Lucifer kept on taking steps towards Renny as the guy looked scared shitless from him.

"Oh God", he stumbled backwards on the ground "Oh God, they were yours."

"Who stole them?"

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" he breathed out. Lucifer crouched slowly towards the guy as I watched horrified looking at Lucifer who looked super scary.

"You're going to be more than sorry unless you tell me everything."

"Lucifer-" The words caught up in my throat and my eyes widened in horror as Lucifer's face shifted for a second into his real face and his red eyes were the last to disappear. Renny immediately started screaming and shouting "NOOO" as he ran and jumped off the roof to his death.

"NO DON'T!" Lucifer went to the edge but couldn't catch him. At that moment, Chloe burst in. She looked at me backed up at the wall with my hands towards my chest, then at Lucifer, "I couldn't stop him." He told her, looking disappointed.

Chloe looked at me, and so did Lucifer as realization dawned to him that I saw his face again. "Ellion are you okay?" Chloe asked taking a step towards me, but I took a step back looking at Lucifer then at everything around him then at him again. He looked at me carefully as he raised trying to calm me down. "Love, calm dow-"

I didn't hear the rest of it. I bolted through the door as fast as I ever have, scared shitless. I couldn't unsee it. I couldn't unsee it. It felt like I was in a horror house, it was like he was going to come out of any of the dark corners in the building we were just in. I kept on running till I got out to the street. I couldn't for the life of me stop running. It was like my body was scared shitless itself and my legs wouldn't stop moving, but I didn't stop till it was too late and the car was coming fast towards me unable to stop.

Pain.. that was the last thing I remembered.
