An Angel In Disguise (Lucifer Fanfiction) (on hold)

Chapter 7

You know what the best way to wake up is? Waking up while an intruder is looking through your stuff. Yay. Note sarcasm.

"Who the hell are you?!!" I shouted at the intruder and grabbed the nearest thing which happened to be one of Trixie's stuffed toys. Defending myself with a stuffed toy, this is just getting better and better. she turned around, yes it was a she, and suddenly started running towards the window. I bolted after her and tackled her to the ground, but she flipped me over and hit me on the head making me start seeing black spots. Damn it. While I tried to get up, she already was out of the house and I knew I didn't have a chance in catching up with her. I sighed frustrated and then remembered that she was rummaging through my laptop, so I ran quickly to it and started typing the password. I searched my files, but nothing seemed missing. She must have copied all my files! I needed to go asap to that damn devil who seemed to think that he can just send his demon slave, helper, whatever.. to steal from me! The nerve of this guy!

After I made sure that the window was bolted shut and there was no way that she could get in, I got to bed and started thinking about the reasons why someone would bring me here, when will I wake up from this dream. What if I never wake up? Am I gonna be stuck here, forever? I drifted asleep these thoughts floating in my head while my eyes fluttered shut.

The next day..

I woke up, dressed up, ate breakfast, and headed directly to Lux. I needed to meet Lucifer about the lovely wake up call he sent me last night. I headed upstairs to his penthouse and called for him. "Lucifer!!" One, two, three times I called him. I looked around seeing no one. I sat by the piano and just as I was about to touch the keys, when I heard the loyal servant of lucifer ask "What are you doing here?!"

I turned around my eyes narrowing. "I should be asking you what the hell you were doing in my room yesterday!!"

"That's Lucifer's orders he needed to find out about you, I still wonder why?" she looked at me from my head to my toes, "You seem as dull as a brick."

"Excuse you! Listen here you little piece of sh-"

"Ellie, what a surprise! What made you come here?"

I turned to the man in question as his face held the picture of innocence. "Hey Lucifer, how are you? you know I didn't think you were so curious about me that you would send your pretty assistant to sneak in my room." I looked at him my eyes flashing as I said the next words in a mocking tone, "Desperate doesn't suit you well honey."

"Oh, don't play that game with me darling, and besides it was just research.. nothing to be angry about if you ask me." came his cool reply with a hint of playfulness.

"Yeah no worries, so what if your shitty assistant opens your laptop and goes through your stuff at 3 am? No biggie." I exclaimed sarcastically. "You are impossible!"

"How about I show you what that assistant can do huh?" Maze looked at me eyes flashing and I know she's mad.

"Should I scream mommy now you little-" My eyes were red with anger. I dashed to her but at the last minute, an arm snaked around my waist and pulled me back while Mazikeen was murdering me through her eyes but one look from Lucifer and she didn't dare step another step towards me. She just went back to the bar drank a glass of whiskey, slammed it down, and with one last look she went outside of the bar.

"Ooh Ellie I didn't know you had it in you. That's  the spirit!" He exclaimed while going to the bar area and pouring himself a glass. "So are you ready to go detective mode? I expect you to come with us so that you can jog your memory a bit, eh love? Never mind about Maze. She'll come around."

"Well I don't care if she comes around or not. I don't want you stalking me or sending anyone to barge into Decker's house while I'm sleeping and rummage through my laptop. And I found out that your brain actually works, look at you while you're thinking. That's never a good thing!" I said sarcastically while walking towards the exit and he turned around looking at me amused.

"Honey I'll show you what else works pretty well if you let me. Just you and me-" I cut him off by making a gagging sound and walking out exclaiming "In your dreams!"

"Ellie this can jog up your memory, just come with us to a case and try to remember. I've convinced my boss and she agreed to let you come." These were the words I heard from Chloe when I returned home. "We can start with the shooting that happened in Benny Benassi's fashion show. Believe me if you remember it'll make everything easier for both of us. You are a key witness in Palmetto's" By the end she was looking at me hope and resolve shining in her eyes.

"Fine.." I sighed defeated, "When can we start?"

"Seriously?! Thank you Ellie." She smiled gratefully, "We can start tomorrow, we have a lead. We're going to this guy's house who Benny suspects has got something to do with the shooting."

"Ok, Hey I'm going out a bit in half an hour.." I said while going up to my room to get ready.

Where I'm going you ask..

I'm going to the only person who knows the complete truth about my... uh.. situation. The one who made me question what's really happening in my life. I'm going to the doctor.(Cue the doctor who theme opening)

Hahaha.. Ok never mind that last bit, I'm going to Doctor Linda.

I got ready and was just going out of my room's door when my phone vibrated. I looked at it and found it was a message from Lucifer and it said the words I dreaded since I first made the deal with Lucifer.

I know what I want for my first wish, darling. I'll meet you tomorrow with the detective. Can't wait ;)
