Chapter 25: Breakout (Pt. 1)

Crescent POV
I woke up with a long moan, I glanced over to my side and saw Quartile. We were in some sort of cell, in a boat, a rather large one too. I struggled to get off the wooden floor, Quartile began to moan. I looked through the bars and saw that we had gotten ourselves into dragon fights.. Oh no...I have to get out of here and back to the island.. I gently tapped Quartile, he moaned louder. I sighed, "Great.." I jumped over him and saw that he had wounds and scratches all over his white underbelly. In the corner laid towels and a pail of water, I slowly walked to the corner and sat on my hind legs, I grabbed one of the small cloths and placed it in the water. I walked back to Quartile and placed the cloth on his wound, his muscles tightened as I placed the small piece of damp fabric on his bloody scales, I began to hum a lullaby to get him to stop. I walked back to the bucket and grabbed the small pail in my mouth. I took the towels in my paw and brought them to were I was tending to Quartile's needs. I continued to hum the song, Quartile sighed deeply. I started to sing aloud, I managed to help a couple of the large wounds, I yawned He has to have more wounds, he should be awake by now.. Quartile was on his side, I yawned again and began to felt weary. I curled up by his side and fell asleep. A few minutes later I was awaked by Quartile moaning, he rose off the wooden planking slowly, I opened my eyes and got up. He looked at his underbelly, "How?" His voice weak, "I did," I yawned, "You needed those wounds healed. So I helped." I closed my eyes and I could feel the warm scales of the male Skull Fury, "Thank you." I heard him whisper, I hugged him back. He let go and rested on the floor, he lifted his wing as if gesturing my to lay by his side. I laid down by his side, I felt his wing come over my body as I fell into a deep sleep.
