Right when the bright lights flashed into my eyes I woke up. I jumped slightly causing Mitchell to stir in his sleep a bit. I looked back and his grip tightened around my waist.

I finally woke up.

"Mitch." I whispered feeling excited.

"What?" He groaned opening his eyes and running a hand through his brown hair.

"I was having a night terror- I think and I woke up by myself!" I smiled and he looked down at me and smiled happily before kissing my cheek.

"That's good. I'm proud of you." He said and I smiled triumphantly before settling back into his chest. He began playing with a few strands of hair and I waited until he finally stopped signalling that he had gone back to sleep.

Ever since that night I had been clear of night terrors. I even had a couple of nights where I had no dreams and it was fantastic. I came to the conclusion that Mitchell had to stay by my side in my sleep all the time. One night he had gone out with a few of his friends and I had one of the worst dreams.

Did I tell him that he stopped them?

No. I don't need his ego getting any bigger.

I stood in my office wearing leggings and a sweater. I was finding it really cold lately.

I yawned as I organized some files when Damian, Carson and Trevor walked in. They plopped down on my chairs and couch and began talking aimlessly.

"What's with the sweater, Bell?" Damian asked.

"I'm freezing. I might have to turn down the AC." I wondered looking at the temperature.

"Are you crazy? It's hot as fuck outside." Carson said rolling up his sleeves of his white shirt.

"Not in here. I'm feeling like a penguin." I admitted.

"You're weird, anyways where is that boy toy of yours?" Damian asked.

"Right here." Mitchell said walking in. His all black suit clung to his body perfectly meanwhile I looked like a mess. His blue eyes were bright with laughter.

He had a wad of cash in his hands and he tossed it towards me.

"Shook down a dealer, selling in our area." He explained and I looked down at all the bills.

"You took all of his cash?" I asked.

"Left him with fifty. I told him to get on a bus and get the fuck out." He said sitting in a chair. I nodded impressed and turned to the large portrait of Andrew Rivers. Come on, a Mafia isn't complete without a hidden safe behind a portrait.

I punched in the code and placed the cash inside along with some other prize possessions we had.

I moved the frame back and looked down at the files again.

"You still cold?" Mitchell asked.

"Yea. I think I'm getting sick." I said not meeting his eyes.

"You never get sick." Damian said.

"Five bucks, she is pregnant." Trevor said.

"I'm on birth control, T. I'm good for the year, I don't need another shot until January." I said.

"I have seen some shows where girls get those and they end up getting pregnant. Sometimes the shot is defective." He said.

I glanced at Mitchell who shrugged.

"You said you were on it and you know I am clean." He said holding up his hands. I glanced at them all who were staring at me and I frowned hitting the desk.

"Fuck you all." I spat grabbing my wallet and keys and heading out the door. I got into my car and sped off to the nearest pharmacy.

Nowadays the pregnancy tests were faster. They had ones that pricked your finger and of course the traditional pee ones.

I grabbed a box quickly and drove home. I took the stairs up to my pad and when I got in I tore the box open and rushed to the bathroom. After relieving myself I looked at the stick and an annoyed, animalistic growl came from my chest and I threw the stick across the room.

"Motherfucker!" I screamed slamming the door open and going into my bedroom.
