Layla slept peacefully next to me on our bed. Mitchell was taking over for me while I stayed home with Layla for a while. She has gotten so much bigger and her eyes were so bright and blue.

She reminded me of Mitchell.

She had on a light pink under shirt only and she would occasionally kick her legs out.

Finally her big eyes opened and she looked around. She went to make a panicked noise before she saw me.

"Hi baby girl." I said softly while rubbing her stomach. She made a couple of cute noises and she continued to kick her legs out rapidly.

"You have so much energy." I laughed. She tried to roll over onto her stomach and I laughed and helped her and she looked up at me.

I leaned over the bed and grabbed a few of her toys and placed them in front of her. I heard the door open and a couple of things shuffle around before Mitchell appeared. He smiled as he pulled off his suit jacket and loosened his tie to take it off.

He grabbed a couple of loose fitting clothes and quickly changed before coming over to lay on the bed with us. Layla looked up and made some more baby noises at him and he kissed her head.

"How's my pretty girl doing today?" He asked.

"She just woke up, I figured we could go for a walk later? It's such a nice night out." I said.

"I'm sure Max could use a walk." He said referring to the sleeping giant on the floor. Max was so big now and he loved Layla.

"He could. I ordered in, can you change her while I get her bottle ready?" I asked.

"Yes, I can right?" He cooed pulling Layla to him. I walked towards the kitchen and Max immediately stood up and followed me out. He sat down waiting as I placed Layla's bottle in the microwave.

Once it was finished I walked back into our room as Mitchell was doing up her under shirt. I handed him the bottle as the door rang. Our bell hop downstairs brought up our food when it was here. Whenever we ordered online we always used a credit card.

"Thanks Darryl." I smiled.

"No problem Ms. Rivers, how's princess Layla?" He asked politely.

"She's good. Mitchell is feeding her. We will be down after dinner with her and Max because we are going on a walk."

"Alright, see you all soon." He smiled before walking away. I closed the door and locked it and placed the box of pizza on the counter. Layla was still drinking so I placed plates and drinks out for Mitchell and I and got everything ready.

When he came back he was lightly patting Layla's back. She looked so tiny and delicate in his arms, it was funny.

"How was your day? Did Drew take care of those high school dealers? She's around their age." I said and he chuckled.

"Drew and Carson dealt with it. Don't worry, love." He said kissing me quickly.

"I have to worry. I don't want people stepping into our territory. They need to know what's good. Right baby?" I asked touching Layla's cheeks.

"I think a lot of people are terrified of you." Mitchell assured.
