Living in the world there was no such thing as superheroes that came to save the day when everything went wrong. There was no epic solution to any problem that arises, and there wasn't any happily ever after.

Being a "hero" didn't mean fame and for the money. Being a hero was doing something for the good and having the right mindset. How could we apply this to our life's? It's the simple stuff, for example paying for someone's dinner bill because they are short a couple dollars. You shouldn't do something and expect a "Thank you" or for anyone to notice. When you do something out of the kindness in your heart it should be not expecting a thank you.

The best heroes were the ones who went un-thanked. I remember once when I was younger I started falling from the bars at primary school and before I hit the ground the other kid had caught me. He had told end I was a light catch and to be careful next time.

I knew there wouldn't be a next time because after that I was scared to go near them. But hero's came in all different shapes and sizes, they may go un-thanked. Like me last year when I saved a little girl from drowning in the ocean. The medical team was involved, when they tried to find out who help no one ever stepped up.

I didn't need thanks knowing that I helped the way I did. Today it was Noah's turn to be my hero, I had the day off and just when I thought I would have tons of fun and go places that I couldn't normally go I got a visit from aunt flow. Now I'm not talking about and aunt I had named flow I was talking about Mother Natures way of cursing us woman, walking the red carpet some might say.

My cramps were unbelievable, I hadn't really gotten cramps in the past but for some reason I did and it made me faint. Noah, being the hero he is, helped me and gave me medicine to help. He loaded me up on chocolate and sappy movies and Kleenex. The whole nine-yards.

I made a pact since age ten that every night I would read until I fell tired. I remember countless nights staying up until 3 o'clock in the morning reading a book just to see how it ended and then turning off my bedside lamp before 4:30 when my dad awoke to go to work. The older I got the earlier I went to bed. For the past week I hadn't read and it felt weird, so when Noah brought me the nine-yards he added a couple books and wrote a note.

Going to work, love. Enjoy the day off <3 ~Noah

I silently thanked him then began watching movies and reading the books I had one by one devouring the book. It always amazed me how thousands of people read the same book but in each mind, the characters look different and the settings change. We were reading the same thing but it was unique to each person.

It was around five when I finally cleaned up the mess I made and made dinner for once. I was super careful since I didn't want to burn the apartment down. It was s couple minutes after starting dinner that I heard the front door open and bags being flung into a chair. "Honey, I'm home! And we have a guest." Curious, I peek out from behind the wall to see another guy with Noah. I take in his appearance, small hands, skinny jeans, black shirt, short hair that was styled into a quiff. I go out from hiding and Noah smiles when seeing me.

"I see you've cleaned up your mess for once and you're in the kitchen? Shocker, Mary this is Louis, my boyfriend." My mouth is wide from shock. "Boyfriend? When did that happen? You guys just went on a date about a week ago."

"We've been on other dates since. How was your day?" Noah asks giving me a hug. "It was good, I read and watched movies. Nice to meet you, by the way." I shake Louis' hand and he gives a smile. "Nice to meet you, Noah has told me tons about you."

The timer in the kitchen went off and then I remember the food. I run into the kitchen to see smoke coming out the oven. "Awe honey you baked!" Noah laughs following after. "Order take out," I grumble and he laughs.

I had never been a good cook, I've at least almost burnt down a kitchen three times in my life.  My family always told me no when I went to cook, it's not like I meant to burn things it just happened.

Once take out was here Noah went and purchased cheap wine. We started to talk about our jobs and family, Louis was actually really nice and funny.

"Well it's getting late I must be going." I check my watch to see it was already 12 o'clock. "Lou, why don't you stay here? It's really late." I offer, I look at Noah and he nods agreeing. "I wouldn't want my boyfriend going out this late."

"If that's alright with you guys!" He says getting happy, "Yeah it's fine. Noah doesn't have work so, I'll be the only one up early tomorrow."

"Yeah, you just have to excuse the disgusting healthy shakes we drink." Noah says and then we all laugh as I explained that my mom sent us these healthy drinks to live "forever".

"Sounds awesome!" Louis said still laughing.
