Blake

I pressed my face against the cool steel of the maroon lockers. My eyes fluttered shut as I basked in the peacefulness. I was still hungover, and the party was on freaking Friday, and it was now Monday. My glasses however were very helpful, they managed the light that was let into my eyes. Plus hiding the massive bags decorating my droopy green eyes.

"You look absolutely gorgeous today." Ella's sweet voice echoed through my ears as my eyes fluttered open. She was standing in the hallway, looking like the epitome of perfect she always is.

I groaned, "My head hurts."

"Naw," Ella pouted, rubbing her thumb over my cheeks, "That's just your brain reminding you that you're a fucking idiot." Ella laughed an evil chuckle and grinned, "Do you remember anything from Saturday."

"I don't remember much, but considering the fact that I needed glasses to open the fridge this morning told me it was awesome," I groaned, "Sunglasses hide all sins."

"Well, I'm starving, and I heard they've got Mac'n'Cheese in the cafeteria, which is one of your favourites. So let's go stuff our faces," Ella beamed, locking her arm with mine, "Come on, I'll be like you're seeing-eye-dog."

I narrowed my eyes at her through the tinted lens of my shades, "You're so fucking weird."

"But you're stuck with me."

"Shit."

"What is it?" Ella pressed, glancing over at me and paused before she took a bite of her rap. I was looking at the phone in my hands, realising it wasn't mine. It was Alex's. Which meant one thing: He had mine.

"Alex has my phone, and I have his," I explained, holding up the iPhone covered in a dark blue case.

Ella's eyes lit up with mischief, "Let's snoop."

"You and your snoopy ass," I narrowed my eyes at her and smirked, "Plus, I don't know his password."

"Fuck, now I'm just disappointed." She pouted and sagged back into the plastic chair. I stood up from my chair and tucked the phone in my back pocket.

"I'll be right back," I smiled at my best friend quickly dart out of the cafeteria.

Pushing my way through the flowing current of students entering the hall, I managed to make my way through the halls and towards the field. The football team always had practice before lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so here's hoping he'll be there.

I was blinded by the blazing sign and I almost hissed. Alex was right, I'm a fucking vampire. But to be fair, that be pretty cool. A blood-sucking, half-dead human that can snap a bitch's neck with one flick. Fuck yeah

I strolled onto the freshly cut grass of the football field, and peered over at Alex who was just finishing training. They were all having a team meeting, and Alex's eyes met mine over the group. He pointed to the bleachers where is bag lay and I nodded my head.

I searched for Alex's grey Nike sports bag through the array of other bags of his teammates. I was searching through the pocket of Alex's bag, when I heard a familiar, snarky voice call from behind me.

"You just can't seem to leave him alone, can you?" Rising from my crouched position, I fixed the waistband of my jeans, and turned, seeing a smirking Alyssa with a group of two behind her. Dressed in their short, and extremely tight maroon cheerleading outfit, they honestly looked like a group of strippers that were wearing their uniforms as costumes.
