Blake

Ella was fighting with Hunter again. Anyone in a ten mile radius could see the sexual tension between them. Hunter acknowledges it, but Ella refuses to. She hates him, and he knows that. Which is why he finds it so fun to antagonise her. I've known Hunter for as long as I've known Alex, so I've got a pretty good idea about what he thinks of girls.

And I know for a fact that he's extremely fond of Ella.

"I was not cheering for you, I was cheering for the school!" She huffed, folding her arms and leaning back against Alex's car. We were waiting outside the school stadium. Our school football team and extremely brutal game. It was the decider on who would be travelling to the play offs against a team that has yet to be named.

Our team completely annihilated has Hunter had put it, and were now on there way to the play offs. Alex and Hunter had been training like crazy. Both wanting to get picked by a couple of school reps and selectors. Alex has always been set on going pro.

Alex was still getting dressed in the locker rooms, but it seems Hunter was really eager on seeing Ella and got ready quicker. Alex was a fucking boss and dominated the entire game. The team against them were shitting there pants when they realised how ruthless Alex actually was.

I was also sad, because it meant that our senior year was coming to an end. I was ready to move on with my life, to go to university, get married, have kids. But then again, I didn't want to leave. I'm lucky enough to have a best friend with the same dream profession, so we're both aiming for the same colleges. We both wanted to become doctors. But there's my parents...and Alex.

He'll be going to one of the best university to carry on with his football career. The only time I'll be able to see him is on tv or the magazine covers. He'll move on from me, find an adoring wife and have a family the size of a football team.

"Oh please! You went crazy when I scored." Hunter scoffed, copying Ella's position. Their bickering snapped me out of my trance, "You were screaming my name. I wonder what other activities we could endure where you scream my name."

"Okay buddy, that's creepily verging into serial killer territory." Ella groaned, slapping Hunter upside the head.

"Ow! I was just kidding!" Hunter shouted back as their screams echoed through the parking lot. They were attracting the eyes of fans exiting the stadium, leaving me standing awkwardly as I waved to onlookers. As Ella went off her nut at him, I saw Alex exit the boys locker room.

I was about to wave to him but then a loud shriek rang through my ears before a hyper Alyssa Monroe ran over to Alex and basically toppled him over. I rolled my eyes as her giggles erupted over the parking lot and I turned to face Ella.

"So...this beach party?" I asked, trying to clear my head of anything revolving around Alex.

Ella's eyes snapped to mine the second party left my lips, "Holy shit. Blake never wants to go to a party. Who are you and what the hell have you done with my best friend?"

"Ella, I'm—"

"Are you being possessed? Blake!" Ella called as she pressed her face close to mine, "Blink twice if you are being held captive by a demon spirit!"

"Ella, I'm fine." I chuckle, pushing her away, "I've realised that this is my last year of high school, and I need to enjoy it."

"My baby's growing up!" Ella squealed, before quickly hugging me.

"Jealous, Daniels?" I smirked at Hunter who was rolling his eyes and folding his arms. Hunter glared at me before shaking his head.

"Hunter, you coming?!" Alex shouted from across the parking lot, walking towards us.
