Disclaimer - I own absolutely nothing of the Twilight franchise, I'm just here to torture Stephanie Meyers characters.

Edwards PoV:

I slammed shut the door of my car and started up the car angrily; Jasper was sat in the back looking at me warily and Alice was trying to soothe the emotions he was getting from me. "Edward, what's up now?" She asked me and Rosalie snorted from behind me.

"Bella's still not talking -" I began "We already know that much." Rosalie interrupted "Better for everyone if she stays away." I scowled at her and continued with what I was saying. " - And she gave me a note saying that she doesn't want to go out with me or be friends with any of you."

I heard them all gasp suddenly and their thoughts all turn the same.

Jasper - There's something wrong here, I know it.
Rosalie - Maybe this is the only way to keep her safe...
Emmet - But why? She didn't look scared of us at all...

Alice - Does this have anything to do with my vis -
Bella. Shoes. Homework. Bella. Shoes. Homework. Bella.

"Alice," I said "What are you hiding from me?"  She looked up at me innocently "Nothing Edward. I just really wanted to take Bella shoe shopping." She frowned at the end of that sentence and I knew that I wouldn't get anything more out of her. Nobody else spoke for the rest of the journey and we arrived back at the house in just a few minutes.

I ran upstairs into the music room and sat down at the piano. My fingers strummed along the keys with a mind of their own, until I was playing a very familiar tune - Bella's Lullaby. I leant against the old piano and sobbed; trying not to scream out. What was so bad that Bella couldn't tell me? How was it safer if I didn't know? Did she really not trust me at all?

So I sat there all night; submerged in my own pain.
