Chapter 8

(I don't know if you feel the same, but I think my chapters are getting boring. So, this chapter will be long and lots of DRAMA! Luv you guys!)

I woke up, and Connor wasn't next to me. Instead I found a note.

Went to StarBucks. Love you Babe.

I smiled and got dressed. I put on some white skinny jeans and a pink tank top that said Total Babe on it. I put on a light amount of makeup, and curled my hair.

I went downstairs, and I found Ricky on the couch. He couldn't do much else, his leg was still healing but almost better.

"Morning Hope." Ricky said.

"Morning Ricky!" I grabbed some pancake mix and made pancakes. I finished making the pancakes and gave some to Ricky.

"Awww, thanks bae." He said. Ricky basically INHALED the pancakes. I laughed at the fact that he finished 3 in 2 minutes.

"Connor! You've been gone for so long!" I said, when Connor walked thorough the door 10 minutes later.

"I'm sorry boo, traffic was bad." I gave Connor a kiss, and we were kissing for a few seconds when...

"Get a room!" I heard someone yell. Holy Fuck!

"Maddi!" I yelled. Maddi was my best friend for years, since 1st grade. I was so sad to leave her when I moved here.

"Hope! I've missed you so much!" We gave each other a warm hug.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. "Well, my boyfriend lived here so I moved here!" Oh my gosh, my bestie lives in LA!

"Wait, so who is your boyfriend?" I asked Maddi.

"It's Kian!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"My boyfriend is Connor!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

We kept squealing and laughing for 10 minutes.

"Well I'm going to unpack, see ya later Hope!" Maddi said, running upstairs.

"So, old friend?" Connor asked, grabbing my waist and pulling me close.

"Yah." I said, kissing him. We were making out, for a while.

He put my shirt back on, and we heard Maddi yell.

"Kian and I are going out! Be back later!"

"Ok!" I yelled.

We decided to watch some movies. I cuddled in Connors chest, and soon fell asleep.

I woke up around 1:00 am to my phone going off. It was my old friend Ricky. (Not Ricky Dillion)

I picked up the phone.

"Hey Ricky, what's up?"

"How fast can you get here? It's an emergency." I started to get worried.

"Ummm, probably by tomorrow afternoon if I left now."

"Ok, start driving. Nicole and my mom got in a car accident, we don't know if Nicole will make it. Bring Maddi too." Nicole was my best friend, and Ricky's sister. They took me in when my dad started abusing me, I would go there when he hit me.

And now, Nicole, one of the best friend I've ever had, might die. I started bawling,

"I'll be there asap. Tell Nicole and Your mom I love them." I hung up.

I shook Connor awake, and told him the story. While I cried and packed, Connor woke up Maddi. We grabbed our stuff and left.

/\ At the hospital in Florida/\

"Ricky!" I yelled!  I ran towards him and gave him a big hug. I cried into his shoulder for a minute before pulling away. Then I ran back to Connor and Maddi hugged Ricky. We cried and cried, soon Connors shirt was soaked from my tears.

"Ummm, Ricky Morgan?" I heard a doctor ask. I immediately turned my attention to the doctor.

"That's me." Ricky said.

"Well, I have good new and bad news. Good news is, your mother is ok with just a broken arm but-" Ricky cut him off.

"WHAT ABOUT MY SISTER!" He yelled, tears in his eyes. I had never seen Ricky cry before.

"Well, that's it. She doesn't have long, we are sorry. She suffered traumatic injuries. We will have to take her off life support at 9:00 tonight. I'm so sorry." With that the doctor walked off, and we all started crying again. I ran to Nicole's room.

"NICOLE!" I yelled. "Hope, you're here." Her voice was quiet and raspy.

"I love you Nicole, I'm going to miss you. We all are." I said, and everyone else walked in.

"I only have an hour left. I'm gonna miss you." She said, tears in her eyes.

"Hey, you'll be somewhere better. With my mom, who I know you love." I was full on bawling now.

"We love you Nicole." That was about all Maddi could say before breaking down. Before we knew it an hour passed. It was time.

"We all love you, we won't forget you. Remember that Nicole. Watch the world change, we will think of you. I love you sis." Ricky said, in between sobs.

"We do, I love you Nikki. I will NEVER forget you." I said. It was hard not to cry. Maddi's turn.

"Hey, I love you. I'll miss you, but just remember you're in a better place now. I can't stand seeing you go." Maddi was sobbing.

"Hey Nicole, I don't know you but this world is suffering a great loss. So many people love you, and we want you to know that. You won't be forgotten." What Connor said was beautiful.

"I love you too. I'll miss you." That was the last thing she ever said. She died, seconds after. We walked out of the hospital. I was crying into Connors shoulder.

"I-I can't be-believe she's go-gone." I said in between sobs.

Then something beautiful happened. That night was cloudy, but suddenly the clouds moved revealing the moon. That night, it looked as if there was a halo over the moon. I started to cry even more, so much I could barely walk, so Connor picked me up and carried me to the car. He laid me in the backseat, and drove back to California.
