"Percy, help me," Nico yelped.

"One second!" he called, taking burnt toast out of the toaster. Percy went running down the hall of their tiny apartment in New York and went looking for his husband and their three kids. Tyson, Anna, and Bianca were goofing around, Anna was sitting on Nico's feet, Bianca was trying to braid his hair and Tyson was trying to read something from a picture book out loud. Quickly assessing the situation Percy quickly switched the book in Tsyon's hands for the same one in Greek and picked Anna up, who started teething on his shirt. Nico picked up Bianca and took her away from his hair, putting her on his stomach.

"We're really good at this," Percy nodded, setting Anna down on the bed next to her sister.

"Fabulous," Nico groaned.

"C'mon kids, breakfast in the kitchen." Tyson ran off with out another word and Percy carried the girls back to the kitchen. Nico followed trying to yank out his braids, but Bianca started screaming so he stopped. Tyson had just turned four, Bianca was two, and Anna was one. They were still little but demigods all the same. They were kids that'd been left at Camp Half-Blood as babies by their human parents. Percy and Nico adopted them and for a while they lived in the camp, but moved into the city after they made their apartment monster proof. Tyson was the son of Athena, Bianca was a daughter of Eris (Goddess of disharmony), and Anna was just recently dropped off at Percy and Nico's doorstep, and they couldn't tell yet.

"Tyson will you help your sister with her food?" Percy asked, trying to get the very fussy Anna into her high chair. Nico started flipping pancakes as Percy put little spoon fulls of peach mush into Anna's mouth and kept them all relatively dry when Bianca threw a fit and threw a cup of juice.

"Daughter of messy," Nico pouted, placing a hot stack of pancakes on the table.

"Technically discord," Percy corrected, cutting and putting pancakes on his kids plates. Nico broke off little pieces and put them on Anna's high chair table so she could eat them herself. Tyson shoveled food into his mouth saying something about science.

"No talking with your mouth full. You'll choke," his dad said, shushing him.

"But daddy, why are you so boring. When is auntie Beth coming?" he whined.

"Soon I hope," Nico said, wiping maple syrup off a crying Bianca.

"Nico," Percy scolded, kissing Anna on the head when she ate the whole baby pancake herself. Tyson finished, running off to get cleaned up and Bianca sat on the floor breaking toys.

"Nico, could you go back for us?" Percy asked. As much as he loved little kids, Nico wasn't as enthusiastic.

"Gladly," he said, stomping off, but taking Bianca back to her play pen. So maybe he just acted like he hated little kids. Percy picked up Anna and set her down for a nap in the kids' bedroom. As soon as Anna was asleep the other two got a little tired and Bianca stopped having a fit for long enough to listen to her brother's story. Percy shut the door to their room and Nico was standing in their bedroom door.

"Still can't figure it out?" he asked, walking towards Percy. He nodded and pouted.

"Don't worry about it. A few days off could do us some good," Nico decided, leaning up to kiss his husband.

"Teaching at Camp Half-Blood isn't exactly a few days off," Percy laughed, kissing Nico again.

"It's better than taking care of those little rascals." Percy smiled and pecked his lips again before going to clean up the kitchen.

"Awe don't leave me with that," Nico whined. Percy laughed again and swept Nico into his arms and kissed him deeply. He pushed Nico up against the wall and Nico's hands found Percy's already messy hair. Just as hands started traveling there was a loud knock on the door.

"Finish it later?" Percy nodded and went to get the door. Annabeth was standing on the other side of it with a thick book.

"Morpheus, god of dreamless and easy sleep."

"Nico! Morpheus!"

"How did we not think of him?" Annabeth asked, walking into the apartment and dropping her bag on the floor.

"So were are they?"

"Falling asleep in their bedroom. Thank you so much for this. Nico and I really need the time off. Um..."

"Explanations in are in the kitchen if Bianca sets something on fire you put it out with water. Don't call 911 unless someone is dying and their schedules are on the fridge. If you ever need them to quiet down get them all in their bedroom and put Anna to sleep. Tyson and Bianca will play nice for about two hours before it wears off," Nico finished, kissing Annabeth on the cheek.

"Thanks for the week."

"Not much going on at camp anyway. Sorta boring."

"Yeah, but right now I need some alone time."

"I'm presuming with Percy."

"Any preposition and Percy," Nico smiled, before turning to his husband, "Ready to go?"

"Tooth bushes?" he asked nervously.

"Of course, let's say bye now and then go before you panic and break the pipes again," Nico smirked, dropping their backpacks by the front door and walking to the kids' room. Percy stooped down and hugged Bianca, telling her to behave and listen to Auntie Beth. Tyson just kissed his dads on the cheek and went back to reading. The men kissed Anna on the head and closed the door.

"First time away from them?" Annabeth asked. Percy nodded nervously, eyeing their bedroom door.

"I know what your thinking and we're leaving now."

"Bye Annabeth, call if you need anything. We're just a two hour cab ride away!" The door closed behind them and Nico dragged out of the apartment complex and onto the street.

"Finally, no little brats."

"C'mon, you miss 'em as much as I do," Percy smirked, sliding into a cab.
