Normal P.O.V.
It was a completely normal day and that means you were being bothered by Oikawa to the point where Iwaizumi started yelling at him.
"Oi Trashykawa leave (y/n) alone she doesn't need to be contaminated by you," he said rather harshly to his friend.
Oikawa pouted taking this opportunity to cling to you even more. "(Y/n- chan)!!! Iwa's being mean to me again. Tell him to leave us alone."
You love Oikawa as a friend but you hated when he clung to you. In response to his cry ,instead of getting the treatment the Grand King was looking for, you try to pry him off of you. "Well maybe if you weren't so annoying Hajime-kun wouldn't have to rescue me all the time."
"How mean (y/n)- chan," he said in a mockingly hurt tone.
As if the God's were releasing you from your punishment name Oikawa, the bell rang meaning you could head in the opposite direction that Iwaizumi and Oikawa were heading. You wave goodbye to the both of them and head to class.
Iwaizumi P.O.V.
As you left the boys, Hajime looked at your retreating form in an affectionate way. Of course Oikawa knew the feelings his best friend had for you. Almost every time Oikawa went to Iwaizumi's house or vice versa all Iwaizumi wanted to talk about was you.
He admired how strong you were and loved how confidence radiated off you. He wanted to confess to you but didn't thinking that you had feelings for his best friend like most other girls.
Oikawa stared at his best friend and smirked. "You know Iwa-chan if you don't make your move soon maybe I will. (Y/n) becomes more attractive each day," giving a slight grin. Oikawa doesn't have feelings for you but watching his friend long over his crush and watching his unrequited love was becoming unbearable, so he said these things to give Iwa a little push.
Immediately Iwa turns to face his friend and gives him a glare that could have killed Oikawa if he were serious about his confession. "Trashykawa I swear to God if you try to take (Y/n) away from me I will shove a volleyball in your ass for every word in your confession." Iwaizumi even though he wouldn't confess to you would not give you up to his bestfriend.
Oikawa smirks and looks down "Well you better confess soon or I might take the risks with those volleyballs," he says while walking to class. Iwazumi quickly follows him and starts thinking of what he should do.
'Maybe it's time I confess to (y/n)' Iwaizumi thinks.
~Time skip~
Normal P.O.V.
It was after school and you were waiting at the front gate to meet with Hajime and Oikawa so you three could walk home. You see Hajime and smile and wave but don't see Oikawa but think nothing of it.
"Hey Iwa-chan where is Oikawa?" You ask in curiosity. Hearing this Iwa gets slightly sad thinking that you wanted Oikawa to be there instead of him. Shaking off his sadness he smiles at you "He said he wanted to practice his serves a while longer but I didn't want you walking by yourself. So we agreed to study together later."
You blush at the reason. Truth be told you had a crush on the Ace beside you. You wanted to confess to him but you thought that he only saw you as a friend. You accepted this and was content with just staying by his side so you never told him.
"Well thank you but you know you don't have to go out of your way for me. I would have been fine," you say trying to hide the fact that he wanted to walk you home. "Yeah I know you would have been fine but I like being in your company it is comfortable," Hajime says with a blush on his face.
You guys talk about a variety of things on your way to your house. You guys laugh and remember things that you have done together. You both were so happy being in each others presence yet both of you were clueless to how the other felt.
You guys soon reach your home and you turn to Hajime to say thank you and goodnight, but as you turn you see a serious expression on Hajime's face. Before you could ask what was wrong Hajime grabs your hand.
"(Y/n), I really like you and I want my feelings to reach you. I know you have feelings for Oikawa but I won't lose to him. I don't want you to be with anyone besides me," he spoke with the most confidence. You look up to him in admiration but also with confusion.
'What makes him think I have feelings for Trashkawa' you thought confusedly.
"You don't have to answ-" he wasn't able to complete he sentence due to the fact that you pressed your lips to his. You soon wrapped your arms around his neck as he did to your waist. After a passionate kiss that you both had been wanting to do for so long, you break away from each other.
You press your face into his chest in a hug and mumble into his shirt "I like you to Hajime. I have for so long." With that being said you brought the biggest smile to Iwa's face. He kissed the top of your head and hugged you tighter
~Extra~
At Oikawa's house
"I think I'll talk to (y/n) tomorrow." Oikawa says provokingly. Iwaizumi looks at him and smiles "Sorry Trashykawa but (y/n) is already mine," he smiles even harder. Oikawa looks at him in disbelief but then smiles at his best friend. "It's about time. I'm very happy for you Iwa-chan, but if you screw up I'll swoop (y/n) up," Oikawa says jokingly. Before Oikawa could say anything more, there were volleyballs being chucked at him.
