Chapter 2

      I woke up this morning to the sound of death. Not literally of course. But, where I'm about to go is death. I have to talk to Lucas today, deal with Riley, and deal with bullies. I don't know how much more I can take.

I walked out the door and started to walk to school. When I got there guess who was standing there just waiting for me... Cowboy...

"Hey Beautiful!" He screamed in Front of everyone. Why can't I just crawl in a hole and hide from everyone and everything? Oh that's right all the idiots on earth won't let me.

"Lucas!" I hit his head.

"Ouch!" He said. "Man is that how you greet your friend?"

"Yes. Yes it is." I smirked and walked into school without him.

"Oh look at that its Ms. I want attention!" A girl shouted as she threw her empty Dunkin' Donuts cup at me. I just ignored her and pushed past people with my bag on my arm.

"Aww she didn't kill herself yet? Want a shame. It would do us all a favor! Even dogs run from you" another girl said as I walked by her.

     Farkle was right behind her staring I had a feeling he felt bad, but he still didn't say anything. As soon as I saw the person that was once one of my best friends who didn't even stick up for me I broke down right there. I ran past him and went into the janitors closet where my tears just love to fall.

The door clicked open and I looked up to see a face I didn't think would ever even follow me in here. Farkle.

"Hey uh Maya.. Are you alright?" He came up and sat down next to me.

"Why do you care! No one cares. The old farkle would of stuck up for me! This one just watches me get hurt, and hurt, and hurt! Nobody ever is here for me I have a heart of gold but, nobody cares. I'm always pushed around." I started to sob more.

"Im so sorry Maya... So sorry. I was just scared to stick up because then I would of lost 3 friends. Riley, Lucas, and Zay. But, its worth it to lose all of them them to have one amazing friend. I know it's now to late.. But, hopefully you will forgive me. I'm really sorry Maya." He leaned over and hugged me. I don't know if it was just in the moment or what but, I was being told to kiss him.

We both looked into each others eyes and leaned and kissed. I never thought that me and Farkle would... Kiss. But, guess what it happened.

"That was unexpected.." Farkle blurted out.

"Mhm.. Don't tell the others please?"

"I won't but, your lucky Smackle and I broke up yesterday." He chuckled and walked out the door.

I walked home and threw my bag down. I looked at my phone.

New text message from "Josh <3"

Josh <3 : Hey Maya, haven't heard from you in a while what's up? How have you been? I heard that you and riley aren't friends anymore. It shocked me. But, I care about you Maya please text me back maybe we could get coffee one day.

Me: Feels so good to hear from you. And what's up, nothing much. I've been good you? And don't get me wrong I still care about Riley so much, nothing can change that but, I don't know who she is anymore. That ray of sunshine skipping around in there is covered up by a never ending thunder storm. Josh I Care about you too. And maybe we could get some coffee next weekend?

Josh <3 : Sorry to hear about Riley. Maybe when we do get coffee that weekend I'll give her a little visit. Her uncle is gonna put her in her place. I'm also, bringing you with me. No buts! I have to go now. Ttyl.

Me: fine but, no promises to going with you!!!

I turned off me phone and went into a deep sleep. Exactly what I needed.
