Mays's P.O.V
I woke up the next morning on Riley's bed. That's when all the events from last night flooded into my memory. Bradley played me for TWO years, and it was all because of Carla. Lucas beat him up for me, which I'm great full for. He has always cared about his friends and willing to go the extra mile just like Riley. But I'm done being the victim and the one people feel sorry for. I'm going to go do what I should've done a long time ago.
Riley's P.O.V.(didn't see that coming did ya)
I woke up the next morning and looked to my right to see Maya gone. I looked at my alarm clock and the time read 6:30a.m. I guess she woke up before me and went home to get dressed.
After, I finished my morning routine I went to the living room to find him gone. Just as I was about to take out my phone to text him, the front door opened. I turned around to see that it was Lucas. 'Speak of the devil'
"Where were you?" I asked.
"Well, I don't think your dad would appreciate coming to the living room in the morning to find his daughters boyfriend sleeping on the couch. So, I went home around four in the morning and slept until about six, then got ready for school and here I am once again." Lucas said finishing his rant.
"true" I said grabbing my backpack.
"Let's go" I added walking out the door.

Maya hasn't been at school all day and isn't answering my text messages I'm starting to get worried.
When school was finally done for the day I ran as fast as I could to my locker. I gathered my things and rushed over to Mays's house. She has NEVER missed a day of school without telling me. The last time that happened she left and I swear if she left again I will hunt her down till the ends of the earth.
When I reached her front door I knocked and no one answered. I can only assume Maya is not home and Katy is at work. I grab my phone and start to repetitively call Maya.

It has been over FOUR HOURS and I still haven't been able to find Maya. I called every person she talks to, Lucas, Farkle, Smackle, Zay, Sarah, Darby, Yogi, Josh, Mom, Dad, Katy, Kermit, Elizabeth, Shawn, Ava, and even Auggie, but no one has seen her or spoken with her today.

It's now 10pm and I still haven't given up so I decided I would call her one last time before mom forces me to go to sleep.

M-Hello
R-PEACHES
M-My goodness Honey my ears
R-I'm sorry, but where have you've been all day, and how come you didn't answer any of my calls or text messages?
M-My phone was of and I was busy with something and I couldn't make it to school. I promise I'll be there tomorrow ok.
R-Good because I thought you left me again.
M-I could never leave you Riley not after last time.
R- Ok I love you peaches good night
M-Love you too honey night
*End of Conversation*
At least I can sleep soundly tonight knowing my best friend is ok and safe.

Hey guys! It's Mia. I'm so sorry for this filler chapter stuff will get interesting in the next chapter. I'm also sorry about the lack of updates recently it has been my turn to update for the longest time and I have just been so overwhelmed and stressed about a lot of things. Especially having to do high school applications and writing essays. On top of that I have to keep up with my grades and maintain my straight A's. I know it sound s like a bunch of excuses and it is and I'm genuinely sorry for not updating in a while. I do not know when the next update will be because it is misfitdoll's and I know she has just as much on her plate as I do. We will try our best to update in the near future.
