'What just happened?' That was the only thought running through my mind as I was sobbing uncontrollably. I just told Bradley that I loved him and he left.

Why am I always the one getting left? What did I do wrong? Was I not good enough? Was I not pretty enough? Thin enough? Why do I always make people leave? What's wrong with me? Am I just a monster that no one ever wants to deal with? Am I jut like the o-zone layer? A mess left behind that no one can fix. A problem that's unfixable.

"Excuse me sweetie,are you ok?"a kind and gentle voice said bringing me out of my trance.

"I don't know anymore."I managed to say through my sobs that I was failing miserably to contain.

What's wrong with me I'm Maya Penelope Hart, I don't cry. Yet here I am crying my eyes out.

"It's okay sweetie." the kind lady said and wipe the tears from my face. That's when I notice she looks oddly familiar.

"You know you look like someone I knew quite a few years ago."she said smiling at the memory.

"She was a trouble maker, but had a kind heart and her best friend to keep her on track" she added and that's when it hit me. She's the crazy hat lady. Evelyn Rand I believe it was.

"Crazy hat lady?"I say more as a question than statement.

"Dollie" she saids with shock and realization in her face.

"Who made you cry?"she said giving me a hug.

"I'm ok"I said wiping the remaining tears from my face."I'm always okay."I added.

While everything happened I didn't notice that our food was already here. I've lost my appetite though.

"Here is your check ma'am"the waitress said looking conflicted on whether or not she should interrupt the moment. Then I realized I left my wallet at home. Since he basically made me open the door and just take me I didn't have a chance to grab my purse.

"Here you go it on me"Ms. Evelyn said.

"You don't have to its ok"I say basically lying because I don't have any money on me and I doubt they'll let me go home to get it. Come to think of it I don't even have a ride home.

"I know I don't, but I want to because friends help each other out right?"she said smiling at me.

"Thank you"I say giving her a hug.

"Would you like a ride home Dollie?" She asks with the a gentle smile.

"It's ok I don't want to be a bother"I say telling the truth. I don't want to intrude on her day.

"Dollie your never a bother come on I'll take you to your friend Riley's house"she said standing up and motioning for me to follow her. I got up from my seat and followed her into a nice Black Chevrolet. I told her Riley's address and soon we pulled up next to her house.

"Thank you for everything"I say giving her a parting hug.

"Like I've always said if you girls need anything I'm always one call away"(I'll be there to save the day superman got nothing on meh I'm only one call away.... well this is awkward let's just get back to the story)

I smiled and with that I got of her car and went up the fire escape and climbed into Rileys window which was always open for me to come through.

"Hey honey"I say putting my head on her shoulder and began to silently sob.

"Peaches what happened?"Riley asked full of concern as she hugged me. Instead of denying it I told her everything that happened.

"Oh my gosh peaches are you ok?"she asks hugging me tighter if that was possible.

"Riley why is it that people always leave me?"I ask running out of tears to cry.

"Peaches people come in your life constantly. Some people are there to go through your journey with you and the others, well they leave eventually not as something you should regret but something you should learn from. Use those people as a learning tool for the future because they only show you lessons in life that build character. Life puts us through things not for us to have sorrow over or to regret but as something that will only make you a stronger. Peaches life is too short to wake up with regrets so wake up and love those who treat you right and forgive those who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance take it. If it changes your life let it. Nobody said it would be easy just that it would be worth it."Riley said ending her rant. By this point I have stopped crying and stared at her.

"Riley it's official you've turned into your dad"I say with a bit of a chuckle.

"Is that all you got from my rant?"she saids with her eyebrow raised.

"No it isn't and you're right thank you Riley"I say giving her a bear hug.

After we release from the hug I take the ring Bradley gave me off of my finger and throw it out of Rileys window.

"I'm done caring about people who obviously don't care about me"I say with a smile locking my arm with hers.

"Topanga's?"she asks with a smile.

"Whatever you want" I reply with a smile of my own.
