Xeiv Chapter two
The girl had been just as Jeremy had described, although the mother figure had throw me slightly. No matter, the girl was in range now. We could fetch her whenever required, although I, myself, still have yet to understand her use. But orders are orders. There was a sudden vibration from my lower trouser pocket.
“Eeyllow?” Picking it, I press it to my ear and speak.
There was a short laps of silence before the caller answered, “Xeiv, next time try a normal greeting,” the voice on the other side was that of Jeremy; he sounded delightfully prissy.
“Hello to you too,” Sarcastically, I return, “And what d’ya want?”
“You got her?”
I nodded, though he wasn’t able to see me do so, “Yes, she left not long ago, with her mother,”
The line went silent for a while, then Jeremy yelled, “You let her go...again?!”
My shoulders jerked upwards once in a shrug, “You didn’t expect me to nap her in front of her mum did you?”
He remained mute for another short moment before answering, “My hard work was for nothing,”
“The only thing you had to do was sample her blood. And you seemed to be enjoying yourself a little too much, you’d almost drunk her dry when I’d arrived,” Pointing out sharply, I retort matter-o-factly.
“I was simply mixing some pleasure in with business,” His reply was simple and cocky-just like himself.
“Whatever, I’m going to tail her till later today. You just need to wait for my signal and control your lust,” I warn sternly.
He snorted, “I aint not damn vampire.”
“Half way there, mate.”

Ren remained reluctant; I could see the indecisiveness in her eyes as her fingers hovered over the two rings of doughnuts; a strawberry iced doughnut with chocolate sprinkles, and a chocolate iced doughnut with vanilla sprinkles. I’d been watching her for the whole day now, and still haven’t seen a good opening. Either she knows I’m following her, or she’s got a truck load of blind luck.
From a few feet away, I could feel Jeremy, his impatient aura exuding from him.
‘Just a little longer,’ I mentally broadcast, and he shoots me down with a vicious glare.

The next day, Sunday, was calm, sunny and…unbearably boring. I’d woken up at five sharp, thanks to the unusual heat. I’d tried to get back to sleep, but no, the stupid birds just had to create a nest on my window sill, just had to have babies-and why oh why won’t they stop chirping?! And as a rotten cherry on top, mum isn’t home; she’d left a note on my lamp desk reading ‘Gone out, food in fridge, money under the couch cushions, lost my keys so borrowing yours so don’t go anywhere.’
Great
Just great.
Warning-bathrooms are hazardous;
I choked on my tooth brush
I slipped not only in the tub but also on the tiles…
…sliding on the tiles gave me a first class ride into the wall
I suffocated myself with my towel
