Kate's POV
I drove to school, unable to stop crying. I think that's all I did these days.. Cry, cry, cry! I wasn't strong enough to take Derek's words and just be ok. I thought he cared about me and I thought he was my friend if nothing else. Jesus was I wrong. I had no idea who I was going to make it through the day. I'm glad he wasn't coming to school because he was in one of my classes as well as my T.A. I needed to talk to the guidance counselor and change his schedule. I'd just tell her it wasn't working out wth us and he needed to T.A. for someone else. I realized I'd drove to school not paying attention. I was sitting in my car in the parking lot.
RING, RING, RING..
I jumped and dug for my phone out of my bag.
