I said my goodbyes to Scott and Jessie a few days later, staying with them until I tied up all my loose ends. They were all the family I had left. My mother had called a few times to try to apologize, but I just couldn't make myself talk to her now. How did she think what she did to me was ok? Michael had called as well, saying that he was going to file for divorce and would just have the papers sent to Scott's house since I wouldn't give him any information about where I was staying. I knew Scott would get me the papers to sign as soon as they came in. He and Jessie wanted this divorce more than I did I think.

I made it to Denver Tuesday morning. The plane ride there gave me a strange feeling. There was no one at the airport waiting for me. There was no one in Denver that I knew. When I got off the plane I felt so alone but at the same time I felt excited for my new start. I was scared and I had no idea what was going to happen to me but anything was better than staying with Michael.

Looking around me, I wasn't so sure that I'd made the right decision now that I was here. There was no turning back through, I just needed to pick up the pieces and move past it all right?

I was waiting down at the baggage claim for my boxes and bags when someone bumped into me really hard. I fell forward, hurting my wrist.
