Chapter 14

Arik's P.O.V

I could feel my eyes start to burn at the intensity of the blue eyes staring down at me, "Adam." I tried to say, well more like demand, but my voice came out raspy. I cringed, my voice sounded like I had gone through my first transformation all over again.

"Adam. He's awake." A female voice said and the blue eyes moved away.

I glanced around and caught sight of my mate, "Adam," I whispered and he moved towards me automatically grabbing hold of my hand before he leaned down and buried his face in my shoulder.

"Don't you ever do that to me again." Adam whispered climbing onto the bed and settling himself as close to me as he could get.

"Who the hell is in our bedroom?" I asked him glancing at the woman, who was staring at me with freaky looking eyes and the man that had been leaning over me.

"My great-grandmother, Meredith and my uncle, Colton." Adam whispered looking up at them.

"What happened?" I asked as I tried to sit up a bit but only managed to move a few inches because of Adams weight.

"Sensitivity Overload." Meredith said and walked over towards me, "So you're Adams mate? Welcome to The Royals."

Adam sat up at those words and stared at Meredith, "Who's going to train Arik? He can't constantly be going into Overload."

"Colton will stay and make sure that Arik understands the risk and help train him so that he can block everything and anyone but you." Meredith said with a nod and glanced a Colton, "I'll let your parents know where you are." she said and within seconds had disappeared from the room in a gust of wind.

"There's a guest bedroom across the hall. You can stay there." Adam said and put all of his weight back down on top of me. Colton nodded and stepped out of the room.

"You do realize you're going to have to let me up at one point or another. I do have to pee." I said with a chuckle and all Adam did was snuggle closer into my chest.

"I let you out of my sight for thirty minutes and in that time you almost died on me." Adam said his voice sounding muffled and watery.

"Rampaging rabid wolves couldn't keep me away from you Adam, but I really do have to pee." I said and Adam shifted to lay on the bed instead of on my chest.

"Hurry back." he whispered softly letting a hand trail down my arm as I stood from the bed and almost fell flat on my face as I tripped over the rug.

"Death by rug." I murmured stepping into our in suite.

"Don't joke like that." Adam said in a voice loud enough for me to hear with my sensitive senses.

I frowned as I ran my foot against the marble tiles. Why did the smoothness of the marble feel like I was walking on a silk pillow? What the hell is going on?!

"Adam!" I panicked when I went to pull the sweatpants down so I could actually pee. The material was rough, too rough against my skin that seemed to have become sensitive to everything I touched or touched me.

Adam rushed into the bathroom and he laughed for a second, "What's happened now? Did you loose your junk?" he asked me with a soft smile as he walked up to me.

"No! Thank the goddess. I can't touch anything." I said and turned pleading eyes towards my mate who had tilted his head to the side, "Can you help me out?"

Hiiiii!!! I know it's been a long time since I updated this story. I feel horrible!! I feel like I depraved some of you. Arik and Adam are very very mad at me. I had made a promise to myself (and the characters) that this story would be finished way before this but life will get in the way.

I turned 22, exactly 30 days ago and I'm just going through what this year has brought me and what it did to me. It brought me love. It brought situations to test my friendship with my best friend of 3 yrs. We're not friends anymore and we only speak for the sake of my nephew now.

I am starting on the next chapter. *crossing fingers* there might hopefully be another update by the morning. It is New Year's Eve and my family isn't exactly doing anything fun.
