Ariks P.O.V

It's been about a couple of days since the Luna of our pack, my twin sister Keeley, found her mate Cameron. That same day I found my own. Adam. That would be awesome if he wasn't my sisters best friend and he was gay. Unfortunately he's as straight as they come and I couldn't seem to be around him without my wolf wanting to claim him on the spot.

I looked over as the door to the dorm opened and Keeley walked in with Cameron a couple of steps behind her. Ariana walked in a couple of minutes later with Blake. I sighed in irritation. Where was he? He usually walked through the door with Cameron or Keeley, but not today.

Keeley looked over at me and smiled, before she turned to look at Cameron as he tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. I looked away from them as the door opened. My eyes hadn't met his in the last couple of days and I had been avoiding him like the plague by staying in my room for the past two days.

"Arik, dad said he was coming to get you tomorrow." Keeley said and I could hear the sadness in her voice.

I had decided to call my dad earlier this morning and ask him if we could grab lunch or something so we could talk. I hadn't told Keeley what I was going to talk to dad about. I knew she had automatically assumed that I was going to leave because I hadn't shown up to any of my classes. I nodded my head before walking into my room, ignoring everyone. Especially Adam.

'Stop ignoring our mate!' My wolf growled at me as I laid down on my bed.

"Kind of hard to ignore him." I replied out loud.

"Hey Arik." I looked up at the sound of Adams voice and locked eyes with him. His green eyes widened in surprise as he felt the pull of the mating. I looked away as quickly as I had looked at him.

"Get out." I growled at him and rolled onto my side so I wouldn't be tempted to look into his green eyes. I closed my eyes as I felt a roll of sadness sweep through me. Mine and his combined making it ten times worse.

"O-okay." He stuttered, his voice cracking at the end before he turned around and walked out of my room closing the door behind him with a soft click.

I sighed and turned onto my back again. This was going to be harder than I thought. I groaned and ran a hand down my face. How was I supposed to resist him?

I looked over when my door opened and saw Keeley standing there, "What the hell Arik? What's wrong?" She asked me as she walked over to my bed. She looked completely determined to get whatever was bothering me out and I would cave. Eventually.

"Why would anything be wrong?" I asked her with a frown on my face cocking my head to the side.

She scoffed at me, "Come on! I'm your fucking twin and you're keeping shit from me!" She yelled at the top of her lungs at me.

I stared at her in shock. She has never yelled at me like that before, "I found my mate." I whispered and looked down at my hands as I felt tears well up in my eyes.

Keeley rushed over to me and dropped to her knees in front of me, "Who? They didn't reject you did they?" She asked me as she clutched at my hands.

"It's Adam." I whispered and wrapped my arms around her neck as I buried my face into her neck and sobbed, "He doesn't know. I smelled it on him the other day. He just kept looking around for his mate." I continued to sob barely able to breathe.

"He's so dense." I heard her whisper and I stiffened in her embrace.

How dare she?! Why was she talking crap about my mate!? She had no right, "Get out!" I growled at her and i watched as her eyes widened as she realized what she'd said. She had just insulted my mate without meaning to and now my wolf was fighting me for control.

"I didn't mean it like that Arik!" She exclaimed as I began to push her out of my room.

"Just get out!" I growled finally shoving her all the way out of my room and slamming the door in her face but not before seeing Adam coming down the hallway.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of everyone getting ready for class. I groaned and rolled over onto my side. Did I want to go to class? No. Was I going? No. Did I want to avoid Adam? No. Was I going to? Yup I sure was.

I closed my eyes as I came to my decision. Just as I was drifting to sleep my door opened. I automatically knew it was Adam. I didn't move an inch, waiting to see what he would do.

I could hear him walk towards my bed, before he leaned down and pressed a kiss to my lips. I felt a sharp electric shock but kept my eyes closed. Adam pulled back and caressed a hand through my hair before he walked out.

I heard Keeley laughing before the front door closed. I drifted off to sleep and when I woke up my dad was looming over me with a glass full of soda and Chinese takeout.

"So what do you need to talk to me about?" He asked me as he handed me the food and drink as he sat on the edge of my bed.

"I found my mate." I blurted out and watched my dads head whip towards me.

"Who? I thought you had already looked at all the females in the pack. Is she from another pack?" My dad asked with a thoughtful look on his face.

"I did look at all the females in the pack. Even a couple of the guys." I whispered and glanced away from my dads face. I wanted him to first know I was gay. Then who my mate is.

My dad hummed to himself for a bit. He always did that when he was thinking, "So it's a guy." He said and I nodded before I cringed at the loud squeal my dad let out, "Really! That's fucking awesome. Is it Adam? I hope it's Adam. He would make the perfect mate for you."

I let out a sigh of relief, "It's Adam. I don't know if he knows." I said and my dad nodded understandingly.

"He's been around a mated couple already. He may know." My dad said with a shrug, "Keeley told me you haven't been hanging out with the guys. You do know the longer you spend away from your mate, the worse you're going to feel." He said before moving the Chinese food closer to me.

I ate my food before looking at my dad, "What time is it?"

"Just after two." He said without glancing at his watch, "I have to go!" He exclaimed and ran out of the room.

I shook my head at my dad and before I burst out laughing. My dad was exactly like Keeley but even more scatterbrained. How he became Alpha I'll never know. Minutes after my dad left I heard Cameron's footsteps coming down the hall. He paused at my door when he saw it wide open.

"Are you planning on coming out of your cave anytime soon?" He asked me with narrowed eyes.

I shrugged, "Maybe." I didn't really want to leave my room after spending so much time in it. Hell, I had even succumbed to the call of Wattpad. I couldn't help it!

"Keeley misses you." He said before walking off down the hall towards his and Keeley's bedroom.

Like that was going to make me come out of my room any faster!
