"What if they don't like me Y/N"

Dillon asked nervously as we both sat in the car.

"I know my.mom will love you and my sister but my dad he's a little hard headed."

His face showed more worry but I grabbed his hand to make sure he's ok.
"Don't worry. I'm just joking, you're are perfectly fine. I love you baby and they will too"

I gave him a quick kiss and got out the car.

I was about to knock on the door but it was open before I could knock.

"Y/N my baby!" I was pulled into a bone crushing hug and I wrapped my arms around my mom.

"Missed you to ma. Where's everyone?"

It didn't sound like anyone was home.

"Oh your sister and the kids are out back- oh I'm so sorry who's this?"

Dillon was also pulled into a hug by my mother and the embarrassment washed over me.

"This is my boyfriend, Dillon. Dillon this is my mom"

"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Y/L/N."

My mom pulled him into the house having a nice chat while I walked behind them. So this is what it feels like to be replaced.

"So where's dad?" My mom pointed up the stairs and I left the two alone.

"Daddy!" I heard footsteps come out of my old bedroom and my dad smiling at me.

"Babygirl" I jumped into my dad's arms.

"I missed you so much. I haven't seen you in so long"

He chuckled and put me down.

"Well you didn't even give me a warning call"

I kissed my teeth while rolling my eyes.

"I came here with someone actually"

His smile dropped into a frown before he pulled on a straight face.

"A boy"

"Uh huh. My boyfriend actually. Dillon" I replied.

"He sounds white" I raised my brows in shock.

"No baby there's no problem. I just hope he treats you with love and respect. Or I'll have to kill him"

I smiled and pulled him down the stairs so they could meet each other.
