Jackson Taylor
A week later...
I invited Noah over at least twenty minutes ago. Where is he? I walk down the stairs and see my mom in the kitchen.
"Mom have you seen Noah around. I invited him over." She looks at me and smiles. She looks like she is trying to hold a laugh in.
"Oh, I haven't seen him, honey."She stifles a laugh. I walked closer to her and leaned in.
"Mom? Are you hiding something from me?" I whispered. Her eyes went wide and she shook her head 'no'. I put my hands on her sides. Her eyes widened even more.
"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you! Just don't tell him I told you." She whisper-yelled. I let my hands fall to the side. "Okay. While you are down here, he sneaked upstairs and is hiding in your closet." I smirked. I went to one of the kitchen drawers and pulled out a wooden spoon. Mom started to jump around happily.
"When he jumps out, I'm going to swing this at him, but not actually hit him, okay?" I asked her to see if she was okay with it. She smirked and nodded.
I walk up the stairs with the wooden spoon in my hand. I make it to my door and open it slowly. I'm going to play it off as if I find out he's not coming.
"Ugh! How can he just stand me up! He could have at least texted..." I hear something fall in the closet. "Sophia? Is that you?" I walk over to closet with the spoon behind my back. I open the door quickly and Noah jumps out.
"Ahh!" He yells. I hit him on the head with the spoon. He grabs the spot where I hit. "Ow! What did you do that for!?" I smirk.
"Do you really think you should tell my mom next time you try and scare me? I mean, I know how to make her talk." He looks down and mumbles something I couldn't make out. "Okay, now that that is over... Want to play some video games?" He smiles.
"You know me so well, bro." I get out the only video game that I have. Noah gave it to me for my birthday last year. He said 'You don't have any video games, so here is one so we don't have to go all the way back to my house just to get a game.' I grab the Call of Duty: Black Ops. I put it on my play station four. We start playing the game and five minutes in I start to talk.
"Hey, Noah?" He hummed a yes. "Do you know how Sophia is like... the teaching assistant in all my classes and how she has become Aiden's best friend?"
"Yeah. What about it?" I gasp. I pause the game and turn to him. He sighs and looks at me.
"What about it? Boy!" He rolled his playfully and smiled. I groan. "She's stealing him from me!" I whine. He opens up his arms and I hug him. He strokes my hair.
"Everything is going to be fine, Jackson. You are just jealous. You'll always be that guy that he likes." He continues to stroke my hair. I pull back and look at him.
"He likes me?" He rolls his eyes.
"Yes, he likes you. It's super obvious. You need to get your eyes checked because your game is off. Oh, and when are you going to break up with that sl*t? Like she is terrible. You should have seen the look that she gave Liam."
"What look did she give him?" I asked confused.
"You know that one where she covers up one eye with her hair and then she makes the other one really big. You know, the eye and then she looks up at Liam like she's gonna eat him. You know, Liam, me, Ethan, Lucas, Mason, and obviously Aiden are the only people she hasn't slept with." He said as a matter-of-fact. I put my hand on my chest and lean back some, pretending to be offended.
