"You know, I love you?" I whisper into Aiden's ear. Right now, we were still laying in my bed, cuddling. My arm wrapped around his waist and his back against my chest.
"Yeah, and I love you, too," he giggles.
"I just want to stay here with you forever." I smile to myself.
"So do I, but we have school and I still have a job," he groans.
"But, now that you're living with us, you don't have to have a job. You can stay here with me forever!" I cheer.
"I know, but I'm not keeping my job because of my father and my living situations, I'm keeping it because I actually enjoy my job," he explains.
"What? Who likes working? Isn't it hard to have a job and deal with school?" Aiden turns over and hits me softly on my arm.
"I know that you actually work from time to time. Don't play dumb," he scolds me.
"I know, I know, sorry..."
"It's fine, I still love you," Aiden giggles before rolling over and swinging a leg over my waist. "I love you, so much," he says, dragging out the 'o'. I put my hands on his hips before replying.
"And I love you." He giggles before he leans down, kissing me gently. Then suddenly, I hear someone giggling. I know it's not Aiden because he's too busy kissing me. I pull away from Aiden, "Do you hear that?" I ask.
"Hear what?" He stops when he hears the giggling, too.
"Mom, I swear to god, if that's you." I roll my eyes as soon as my mother comes into view.
"Awe, why did you have to say something? I was having fun watching," she chuckles.
"W-what?" Aiden stutters, turning around to face mom.
"Oh, don't mind me, just go back to what you were doing," she giggles, pulling out her phone.
"Mom!" I yell, letting Aiden get off of me.
"Oh, hush, I didn't just come in here to watch you two have some "fun", if you catch my drift. I came in here to let you know that we're going down to the police station soon and I was wondering if Aiden wanted to come?" She explains.
"What, why?" Aiden asks.
"Your father is going to jail, sweety, you won't have to deal with him again for long time."
"I'm going with you if you go," I say to Aiden.
"Okay... I'll go," Aiden answers. "Is Ashton coming with us?"
"Yes, unless you don't want him to come. I mean, he is your step-dad."
"No! It's okay, I'm fine with him coming. It's not like my dad knows who he is," He explains.
"Okay, good. Well, get ready, we're leaving in half an hour," she says before exiting the room. I groan as I get off the bed, my feet hitting the hard ground for the first time in what seems like forever.
"Can I wear your clothes, please!?" Aiden asks, dragging out the 'e' in please.
"Y-yeah. Sure," I stutter. "What do you want to wear?" I ask.
"Can I wear your Letterman jacket?"
"S-sure," I say walking over to my closet and grabbing it from its hanger. I walk over to Aiden and put it on his shoulders, making sure that it's on right.
