Wendy's POV:
I'm not sure how, but I guess Natsu knew that Rini had exhausted herself. The minute she started to stutter he tensed up, and when she started to wobble a little bit, he was moving. He caught her before she hit the ground and picked her up as we all started panicking, thinking she had hurt herself. As he carried her to the infirmary, Poppy and I checked her for injuries. I realized she had simply used too much of her magic power and had exhausted herself. Once she got settled into one of the beds and we triple checked to make sure she wasn't physically injured, everyone started to vacate the room. Natsu and I stayed, though, along with our exceeds and Poppy.
We even skipped dinner, which Natsu and Happy never do. They did complain though, but I knew that they wanted to be there when she woke up to make sure that she was okay. And to thank her. We all wanted to. She single handedly fought off an entire dark guild, and saved my life. We also had a lot of questions though, including the fact that she used fire dragon slayer magic somehow.
"You heard what she said to the evil guild master, about him killing someone, right?" Natsu said to me.
"No, I didn't, but I was far away from her so I didn't hear a whole lot. Is that really what she said?" I asked him.
"Yeah. I don't think we're the only ones they've attacked to try and get to her. When she woke up the first time she was here she had a conversation with Poppy while she thought I was sleeping. She said something about 'not letting what happened 3 weeks ago happen again'." I sat there and thought about this new information.
"I also feel like she left out a huge time span in her life when she was telling me about her past." Natsu said, a realization dawning on him, "she seemed to kind of quickly dismiss what happened after her dragon left her. And it did seem suspicious that her dragon was both a water and air dragon."
"Yeah, you'd think her dragon would just be a storm dragon slayer, but she said she just knew air and water, according to you at least." I said to him, curious as to why she kept so much information from us.
"I know we just met her, but for some reason I feel like I know her." I said suddenly, causing a look of surprise to appear on Natsu's face. I looked at Poppy.
"Poppy, do you think you remember ever meeting me before this?"
"No, I'm sorry. Your name nor you face rings a bell. Although if you really do feel like you remember her, then it's possible you two met while I was a kitten, or even before that."
"But wouldn't she remember me? I mean, she's older than me, so if I can at least recognize her face, shouldn't she recognize me too?." I said, a little bit of sadness in my voice. "Am I that easy to forget? Or have I actually never met her?"
"She seems like someone who cares too much to just forget someone like that." Happy said. We all nodded in agreement.
"And she seemed extremely panicked and concerned that you were hurt. If she were a stranger of course she'd have been worried, but not enough to rush to you and attempt to heal you when the rest of us could've handled it." Carla said.
"But she asked what my name was, and what magic I used. And she didn't act like she was hiding the fact that she knew who I was, she genuinely seemed like she was just meeting me for the first time." I said, thinking hard about why this was happening. We all continued to try and come up with a solution until it became dark out and we all eventually got tired. All the exceeds passed out on her bed while Natsu and I fell asleep in the chairs by the door. I drifted off, still questioning how this could all connect.A/N ~ This was kind of a filler but also I really wanted to do Wendy's or Natsu's perspective because I'm sure everyone right now is very confused about Rini's past and her powers :)
