Chapter Eleven
Blu's POV
He turns around and yanks away from my touch as if it burned him.
I take a couple of steps back and see his angry expression thrown in my direction. His eyes burned with something I can only describe as raw pain. "Yoandri's a pretty good kisser, huh?" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, wondering what this had to do with the whole situation.
Joel shakes his head and I bite my lip which apparently sets him off on a rant.
"I dress to impress you, I stop calling you names, I invite you over to my house when I already have the information just so I can see your face again."
I swallow as he walks back and forth, pausing every now and then to make a hand gesture.
"I invite you to a party, I compliment you, I hold your hand."
He talks about a bunch of other things but I can only see how his brown eyes seemed nervous and kept flittering to everywhere but me.
His lips were red from biting them, his cheeks red from the cold, and I couldn't help but wonder what his mouth tasted like once on mine.
"Blu!"
I blink, snapping to attention and quickly come back to reality with a question.
"What does this have to do with anything?" I ask confused.
He shakes his head at me and his brown eyes lock in with mine, a look of disbelief written across his face.
"Are you serious? Are you really this blind?"
I tilt my head to the side and he takes a step forward, his face exasperated and slightly scared. He looks at me for a really long time and shakes his head, his hand coming up to tuck a piece of hair away from my face.
I shiver at the feel of his fingers on my skin and then he has one hand on my waist and one in my hair. His chest is pressed against mine and I didn't know how a simple hug could arouse my feelings this much.
Joel leans down and kisses my forehead softly, making my heart skip a few beats. I suck in a breathe as he kisses my cheek as well and then snuggles into my neck.
His heart beats steadily against mine, his body making me hot and warm, making my stomach flutter. I wrap my arms around him slowly, all the fear leaving my body at being this close to him.
He felt so soothing and comforting in midst of all the cold wind, the snow that suddenly started falling on us. He was the warmth when the silence of the snow made you cold.
His nose brushes against my ear and then he backs up a bit before murmuring, "I don't like seeing you with other guys because I get jealous. I want you all to myself."
My cheeks turn red at the thought of him feeling this way just because of me. I frown and look up into his sweet brown eyes. "Okay? You have me all alone here? Plus, I wasn't going to leave with anyone else. You were my partner," I mumble back, relishing in the feeling of his hot breath on my neck.
"Blu, you aren't getting the big picture," he sighs.
Soon, I'm cold again due to the lack of Joel's
body heat. I furrow my eyebrows and look at him."Which is?"
Joel bites his lip and his and clenches. He looks away from me and shakes his head before catching my gaze again.
"You can figure it out yourself."
