Chapter 13: I love you

•~•Still Valerie's P.O.V•~•

We ran around six laps on the track. after we were finished the teacher tolled us we could do anything for the rest of the class. I still had about an hour left so I just walked far away from the track and just sat down on the grass. Jason was talking to a new girl, it looked like they were having a good time. I just sat there looking up at the sky." Hey bitch!" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around to see Lindsay and her friends."me?" I asked with a confused face. "no not you the hobo, YES YOU!" she said in a angered voice. Lindsay walked closer and closer. I was really scared, mostly because of the things she could do to me. Then she grabbed me and slammed me to the fence that surrounded the outside of the school."listen to me, I know that you and Mitch have been getting closer, I'm just warning you to stay away from him or we're gonna have a problem," Lindsay said with an evil voice.

"Your a slut and maybe that's why your grandmother left you all alone," Lindsay said with a evil smile. How did she know that my grandmother died? "how did you know my grandmother died!?" "I know people, remember I'm watching you," Lindsay said. Her friends grabbed me and then Lindsay grabbed my wrists really tight, witched really hurt since I had cuts. She looked at me, she knew I was in pain from her holding my wrists. She pulled up my sleeves and reviled my cuts. "Well, well, well look what me have here girls, we have a suicidal little girl." "you don't understand!" I replied with tears in my eyes. "oh I understand that you cut yourself, why don't you do all of us a favor and just die, I mean if you wanna cut yourself just to feel the pain then just go and commit suicided already. Beside no one would miss you." Lindsay said. I broke down in to tears, I just wanted to yell at her."You don't know what I've bee trow! I've had an abusive pass, you don't know what it feels to hear your own mother tell you that she wished you were never born! Do you know what it feels like to suffer everyday!?" I yelled with tears rolling down heavily. "If you feel like that why not just die? I mean no one loves you." Lindsay said. She and her friends just laughed and left. I just laid in the ground crying for the rest of the class.

After school was over I ran, not to my apartment but to the highway. I ran until I got to the highway bridge. I got on the bridge and looked down to see the water. I had to end it all, I couldn't take it anymore. Tears forming in my eyes. I heard people telling me not to jump but I din't listen, I had to do it. I took a deep breath, then closed my eyes. But then, I felt someone hug me. I opened my eyes and turned around to find Mitch. Mitch grabbed me and picked me up, he then put on the sidewalk. I wanted to say something But before I could say anything Mitch started talking. "Valerie don't do it, it's not worth it." "Mitch you don't understand, I can't take it anymore I just want to end it all, Mitch let me go!" I yelled. I just wanted to end it. I didn't want to live anymore. "Valerie you don't have to do this!" "Mitch no one cares about me, Im just a mistake that came to this world." I replied. "Val your not a mistake." "yes I am! All my life I was bullied Mitch! people always said that I was ugly and that no guy would ever want me, my own mother even said I was a mistake! I can't take it anymore," I replied looking down. I was just crying. "your not ugly, your beautiful. And the only reason people bullied you was because they were all just jealous, your mom was blinded, Valerie any guy that doesn't realize how beautiful you are, well they're just blind." Mitch replied graving my hands. "Valerie I love you," Mitch said holding me closer, looking at me with that warm smile of his. I was shocked when he said those words. I mean I couldn't believe he liked me, or loved me. I mean I was ugly...how would anyone love an ugly girl? "did you really mean that?" I asked Looking into his deep chocolate brown eyes. " yes, ever since I meet you I fell for you, Valerie will you be my girlfriend?"

*Mitch's P.O.V*

"Valerie will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. I was praying for her to say yes. I looked at her, she didn't say anything. Did she not feel the same way? was this just a mistake? I looked at her again, but before she could say anything I just kissed her. For a moment she didn't kiss back but soon she did. After a few minutes we pulled apart. I looked at her, I smiled, she smiled at me too. "So...does this mean yes?" I asked. "Yes Mitch, I'll be your girlfriend." Valerie said with that beautiful smile of her's that would always make me feel warm inside. We hugged, then I gave her a kiss on the forehead. Then I walked her home.

*Valerie's P.O.V*

Mitch walked me to my apartment. The hall way we held hands. I still couldn't believe that Mitch asked me out. At this point I was just field with joy, I guess sometimes things go the righty way.
