Chapter 6:The party

*Valerie's P.O.V*

It was Saturday night and today was the day of the party.

I had just finished getting ready, I had some ripped jeans with a a blue shirt with my black cumbers. I had 2 more hours left before I would leave for the party, so I just watch minecraft videos from JeromeASF and TheBajanCanadian.

I was laughing so hard, they were just so funny. when I looked at the clock it was 6:23pm. It was time for me to go. I got my hoodie and walked out of my apartment. I was heading to my car when I saw Mitch.

"Hey Mitch!" I yelled. he looked at me and then walked over to me.

"Hey Valerie, where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm going to a party, this guy, Jason, invited me!" I responded, he looked very surprised I guess he was going to the party too.

"Wow, I'm going to the party too! Wanna come with me so you don't get lost?" he asked me, I was speechless. I didn't know what to say, so I just simply nodded and I followed him to his car.

The ride was pretty silent and it was awkward. I decided to brake the silence.

"So how's life?" I asked looking at him.

"Okay, I guess," Mitch responded, this was going to be a really awkward ride. I just stared at the window the rest of the ride.

*Valerie's P.O.V*

We finally arrived at the party and that meant no more awkward silence. I walked in with Mitch next to me just to see Jason come and hug me.

"Hey Valerie, hey Mitch." Jason said greeting us. As the silent girl I am I just stood there silently, not saying a word.

"Hey dude." Mitch responded to Jason and bro hugged him. I just looked around to see guys parting. Other guys were making out with girls, most of the girls had dresses on that were extremley short or very skimpy, the majority of them looked like prostitutes.

I saw Lindsay. I knew that Lindsay didn't like me at all and this was going to be very interesting party. Lindsay passed me and then turned to see Mitch, when she saw Mitch she just quickly walked towards him.

She kissed him to show me that he was her man and to back off, I wasn't going to be part of drama again so I just ignored it.

The party was hosted at a night club, I don't even know how a night club could let teenagers party here. There was a DJ a big dance floor and a bar. I could see people at the bur just getting drunk. I wasn't going to drink cause I want to know what I do, unlike other people.

There was loud music playing and I was just walking around. I guess this party was just for popular people and I guess I was friends with one of the popular guys.

As I was looking around all of a sudden I bumped into a person.

"WHACH WERE YOUR GOING!" the voice sounded familiar, I looked up and tried to apologize.

"I'm so sorry I'm jus-" When I looked up I stopped. It was Lindsay. Lindsay looked at me and before I could say anything she interrupted me.

"What is a loser like you doing here?" Lindsay said with a discussed face. I was going to respond but before I could someone grabbed my shoulder.

"I invited her, she's my friend." I looked at the figure and it was Jason. I looked at Lindsay and she looked shocked.

"Why would you invite this loser?!" Hannah yelled at Jason. I knew I shouldn't have had come. Tears started to form. I tried to hold it in but I just couldn't. I broke down into tears, then I felt someone pull me into a hug. I looked up to expect Jason hugging me, but it was Mitch. Why would Mitch be hugging a loser like me? It made no sense.

"She's my friend, and if your going to act like a bitch then maybe you should leave!" I heard Jason scream at Lindsay to leave the party.

"Why should I leave!?" Lindsay yelled at Jason.

"Because this is my party!" Jason yelled with anger. I looked at Lindsay. Lindsay spotted Mitch hugging me and she looked furious like she was going to kill me.

"MITCH! Why are you hugging that loser!? I'm your girlfriend not her!" I looked at Mitch and then Jason.

Jason was giving Mitch a look but I didn't know what it meant, then Mitch open his mouth.

"Lindsay your been a bitch, and I can't be with a bitch. Lindsay I'm breaking up with you." I was shocked and happy at the same time. I looked at the expression on Lindsay's face and she had mixed feelings. looked like she was shocked, sad, and mad at the same time.

"Lindsay, go before I get security to kick you out." I heard Jason say and with that Lindsay and her crew left the party.

I was happy that she left so she wouldn't make me cry anymore.

"Hey, don't cry anymore Valerie, she's gone," Jason said to me. Mitch was still hugging me. Mitch finally let go off me, after he let go I went up to Jason and gave him a big huge.

"Thank you." I said to him.

"Hey that's what friends do," He responded. I couldn't believe actually had friends. I turned around and looked at Mitch. All of a sudden he gave me a warm smile. That smile made me me feel safe inside.

"Hey, I'm your friend too, not just Jason," Mitch said with a fake sad expression. I was really happy I had friends again, it's been a long time since I had any friends.

"hey Valerie come with us, we want to introduce you to our friends," Jason said. I nodded and followed Jason and Mitch. I saw 3 guys at a table just talking, one guy had really dark brown hair that covered part of his face, the the other one had curly black hair and he looked a little bit older and the last one also had black hair with a big nose, it was cute. "Guys I like you to meet Valerie." They all looked at me.

"Hi" I said in a shy voice.

"Hey, I'm Ty." The guy with the really long hair said.

"Hey I'm Adam." The guy with the black curly hair said.

"Hey I'm Jerome," The last guy said. There names sounded familiar for some reason but I just couldn't remember so I just forgot about it and moved on.

All of us ended up talking and laughing for hours until the night club told us to leave because they were closing. I found out that Ty and Jerome went to our school, and Adam was in college.

I was really happy that I was finally friends with them. Mitch and Jason told me that that tomorrow I should sit with them and his friend at lunch. I guess my life was finally getting better.
