Chapter 15: Who is she?

*Mitch's P.O.V*

As I was waking around the park trying to find a cart That sold hot dogs I heard someone call my name. At first I thought it was just my imagination, but then I heard it again. It felt like the call was getting closer. I turned around to see the person I thought I would never see ever again...

"Mitch!" The girl called, then hugged me. "Maria, wha-what are you doing here?" I asked confused. I thought Maria was gone for ever. "Well my parents decided to move back to Montreal and well..Im back!" Maria said with joy.

"I've missed you so much Mitch." Maria said, then hugged me once more. I just stood still, I didn't believe what was happening. "Oh I forgot, here," Maria said handing me a note. "what's this?" I asked. "it has my number and a little something, anyways nice to see you again well I gotta go, bye," Maria said, then left. I put the note in my pocket, then went on.

*later that day*

*Valerie's P.O.V*

Mitch had just left to get food for us and I was all along in his apartment. I went to his room and sat down on his bed, I looked around his room with my eyes. Then I saw that the closet was open and I saw a box. I got up walked closer to the box, the box had writing on it, it said "memories."I grabbed the box and put it on the bed. I knew this wasn't a good idea but I just couldn't help it. I saw pictures of him and his family when he was little, it was cute. I looked at the photos of him when he was a kid. Then I saw something shinning. I grabbed all of the photos and put them on the bed so I could see what was shinning. When I grabbed the last photo I saw what was the source of the shine. It was a heart shape neckless, the neckless was on top of a photo.I grabbed the neckless and the photo. I looked at the photo and I saw that it was a picture of Mitch hugging a girl with blond hair and beautiful baby blue eyes. I knew that it wasn't Lindsay. I could tell that Mitch was Young at that time. It looked like the photo was taken along time ago. I wandered who was that girl. Then I looked at the neckless that was sitting on the bed. I grabbed the neckless and then I could see that you could actually open it. For a few minutes I tried to open it and then I finally did. Inside the neckless there was a photo of the same girl with Mitch, then I realize that There was also writing on the neckless. The writing was pretty small so I had to look at It really hard. I got closer to see what it said. I finally got a glimpse of what the writing said. It said. "I'll love you for ever and ever Maria, don't you ever forget~Mitch." My eyes widen.

Mitch's P.O.V

I was just waiting for my order to be ready. Then I started thinking about her. Why did she have to come back? I asked myself. years after she left I thought about her every single day, missing her. I dated so many girls just to try to forget about her, but I just couldn't. Then when I met Valerie I finally forgot about her. I had finally moved on, but why? why did she have to come back!? why?! I thought to myself. I still remember the day she left.

*8th grade*

"Mitch." Maria said. "yah?" I asked "you know I love you, right?" "yah, why? what's wrong?" I asked with a worried face. "Mitch, I'm moving.." Maria responded. As soon as she said that my eyes widen. "WHAT?!" I said. "I'm sorry Mitch." Maria said.

I couldn't believe that the love of my life was leaving me. What was I going to do without her? "here." Maria said handing me something. I looked at what she handed me. It was the neckless I gave her when we first stared dating. "Why are you giving it back?" I asked with a confused face.

"Mitch, I'm giving it back because I don't think a long distance relationship is going to work, Mitch I think you should move on." "But, but I love you." I said graving her hand. "I know you do but I think it's best if we see other people." my heart shattered and I felt like my world was over. "goodbye Mitchell." Maria said and then kissed me one last time. That was the last time I ever saw her again.

"Number 30, your order is ready!" I heard a voice yell. I Flashed out of my day dream and got up from my seat."that's me," I said. I got my order and walked to my car.

I had just arrived to the apartment complex, I pulled up next to my apartment building. I got the food and then walked to my apartment. I opened the door to see Valerie watching tv. "hey I got the food." I said raising the food. "great! lets eat." Valerie said and then walked to the dinning table.

We had just finished eating and we decided to watch tv. I had my arm around Valerie, Valerie had her head in my chest. Then I remember the note that Maria gave me earlier today. "hey val I'll be right back, I'm going to the bathroom." I said then I got up of the sofa and walked to the bathroom.

I entered the bathroom and I locked the door. I grabbed the note from my pocket and then I unfolded it.

Hey Mitch it's Maria, I know we broke up but I hope we could still be friends. I've missed you so Mitch, after I moved I couldn't stop thinking about you. I'm sorry I couldn't contact you, that's because my parents changed all of the phone numbers.

"I miss you too," I Said in a whisper. Wait! why did I just say that, I love Valerie, right? I looked at my reflection on the mirror. "Is Valerie my true love? or is it Maria?" I asked myself. "Mitch are you done?" I heard Valerie say. "yah just give me a minute." "ok" Valerie responded. I heard her foot steps fainting away. I keeped on looking at my reflection on the mirror, why was I so confused? I love Valerie but I also miss Maria. Who's my true love?
