It was dark and Aaron was sitting on a tree watching the lights slowly go off at the Grand Maxwell hotel.

It had been an exciting day for him. He successfully pulled off the mission to scare Dana. The bonus was to dissect a cat. It had been a while since he had killed an animal. Ever since John came into his life a few months ago he had been working only on humans.

Aaron had to leave his life behind and come to Lanchester to follow John in his secret 'Business'. It was the best decision he had ever made. He realized his girlfriend was holding him back from all the things he was capable of, so he left her but then she followed him like a clingy teenager and he had no chose but to get rid of her.

His plan was executed flawlessly. He snuck into her room when she was downstairs with her family and poured blood on the bed and curtains, wiped some on the wardrobes, mirrors and windows. He placed the cat in her wardrobe and carefully positioned the shutter to open when the floorboard creaks. He complimented himself for the simple brilliance of the plan.

Once she ran out of the room screaming the clock started. He had told the manager of the hotel to keep them out of the room for a minimum of 30 minutes. The manager knew he worked for John so convincing him to go with the plan was an easy task and he did his part without hesitation. The manager even bought his special snuffbox with prolonged her state of unconsciousness, to buy us some time.

The moment she was out, he moved in from the connecting room which belonged to her moms. He had a couple of trustworthy hotel staffs to help.

Swiftly they changed the bed sheets and curtains as Aaron wiped down the wardrobe and mirrors. It was a rush, trying to finish everything in time.

The finishing touch was to leave the envelope I had stolen from her room on the bed for her father to see. He even saw the contents of the envelope but it did not change a thing. She was still an insignificant creature who would die by his hand and anything growing inside would have to go too....

Once they were done, they moved back to the connecting room and waited. He could hear the security guys clear the room and then someone talking. Once everything was quiet, they walked out triumphantly.

Murder itself was so satisfying, paired with a challenge and some revenge it was the ultimate high. Even John's bad mood could not spoil it.

William paced his room. Adam was still missing. Cristy does not know where he is now but she was there when he was attacked last night. His suspicions were right the moment he realized he had seen her. She brings nothing but trouble and her father was worse. It seems they were both involved so he was now more worried than ever.

Adam was most likely dead by now. But Dana and her family seemed to be the next target. He needed to stay close to them and figure out what Cristy and her father would do next. He dint want to deal with Cristy's father until he had to.

The sun was nearly up but all the tiredness he felt that morning disappeared. Taking a quick shower, he went down for some breakfast. Before he could enter the dining hall he spotted Captain Norman talking to the local police. When the captain saw him looking he gestured William to join him.

"This is William Cooper, Adam's Friend." Captain told the police.

"We would like you to come down to the station with us, Mr. Cooper." said the skinny cop.

"Why?" William said blankly turning to look at the captain.

"Standard procedure." The other cop said stiffly.

"I'm coming with you." Captain Norman said. "He works for me after all." The Police had no problem with this.

"You called the police?" William asked the captain quietly.

"Yes. Adam is not the first to go missing but I had to wait 24 hours to officially file a complaint." the captain said.

William stayed silent. He wondered if the police could be trusted. Nothing in their expression gave away what they thought about this case.

At the station, they were sent to the interrogation room and sat facing the big mirror. William had seen enough of movies to know it was a two way mirror. There were probably some people on the other side, watching him.

"William cooper. You went out for drinks at the Copper pan bar at 8.00pm last night with Adam Davis?" said the cop with a pencil mustache.

"Yes."

"What time did the two of you leave the bar?" asked the fat cop

William dint say anything. He quickly glanced at the captain and then cleared his throat.

"He was back by midnight." said the captain interrupted.

"Perhaps you should allow Mr. Cooper to answer his questions Captain Norman." said pencil mustache coldly.

The Captain looked furious. "I am allowed to speak for my employees"

"You are allowed to accompany him and stay during the interrogation, but not speak for him I'm afraid " he replied coldly.

The captain's face was now red as well as swollen in anger. He stood up and growled "I need to speak to your chief! "

"I AM the chief!" the pencil mustache cop said, smiling as the captain's face turned purple.

"Like the captain said, I got back to quarters by midnight. I was drunk so I don't remember where Adam went once we reached the hotel." William said quickly.

The captain sat down. Apparently it was the right thing to say. They calmed down and quietly began to write something down.

"Tell us what happened last night according to you" said the fat cop.

William began to tell them the story, only changing the end to how they went back to the hotel together at midnight. They had more questions for him.

"Is it true you had an argument with Mr. Adam Davis a few hours before you went to the bar?" said pencil mustache. William stared how did they know that?

"Yes, we argued over something and he explained his situation and then we made up." William said.

"What was the nature of the argument." He asked.

"I don't even remember, it was a minor thing I dint even think about later." William said desperately. "He is my friend and I just want to make sure he is ok."

The police did not say anything, they looked at each other and then wrote something down quickly. It was then that he realized that he was their prime suspect.

He knew he was innocent, but he needed to get to the bottom of this before they pinned it on him. Cops like this only care about closing the case. Blacking out during a crime like this only made me a bigger suspect.

"They would not be interrogating you if it hadn't been for the new chief." Captain Norman said angrily as they left the station.

"What do we do now?" William asked.

"We don't do anything. You just go back to work and keep out of trouble if possible." Captain Norman said.

"That's what I have been trying to do ever since I came here." William said, more to himself than anyone. He left LA to avoid getting arrested and now he found himself in the same position again. Trouble seems to be following him.

With the Cops on his back can William help the Moore-Hall family?

Now we know how Aaron managed to scare Dana and make her look crazy in front of everyone... will he get away with this? Will he actually kill her and the child she is carrying?
