Helen tried to calm herself down as she tried John's phone again.

No answer.

Helen was always the calm one. She could keep a straight face when people were being tortured. Some of them called out to her and said she was an angel and some called her the devil before they succumbed to the pain and were thrown into the incinerator.

But now she couldn't keep her face straight. She was scared of John. The last time he vanished he was in a pit of rage and got into a reckless murder spree. Thankfully the police did not get any evidence that led them to Lanchester nor to John.

When they were dating, John was very reckless. When he proposed to Helen and she said she never wanted to get married, he got extremely angry and burnt down the cafe that witnessed his proposal.

Apparently he was a traditional guy who wanted to have a normal life aside from his 'side' business.

Shortly after the burning incident, Helen decided to give marriage a try and she asked him to marry her. He was over the moon and then they rushed off to vegas to get married immediately.

On their drive back home after their marriage, they stopped to rest at a quiet little town called Lanchester.

Living conditions did not impress John and his new wife. That was when the first proposal to build a Maxwell hotel in Lanchester came.

Helen got pregnant shortly after that and John was more excited than ever. He expanded his secret business and began planning for the child's training to join the business. But it didn't go as he planned.

Helen had a miscarriage.

This was when things got really tough for her. Unable to go out and get his next victim (by this time he has learnt to be more careful) he showed all his frustrations on Helen.

She was left in tremendous pain on the floor of her room and would have died. But John calmed down in time enough to get her help without having to go to the hospital

But that's how John was, intense passion or intense pain. This went on until she got pregnant again a few years later.

"I hope it's a boy." He said to her as he kissed her growing belly. Helen tried to stay calm, hoping desperately for a boy. She couldn't imagine what he would do if it was a girl.

At the delivery room, moments after she gave birth, the doctors began patching her up. Helen watched as they cleaned up he baby and wrapped him in a blue blanket to bring it to her. She wasn't sure if she wanted to hold the baby, she felt it was a duty to her husband and not love that will raise the child.

It was when she held it that she realised how wrong she was. The moment she held her baby boy, she felt a rush of emotions. The one she was most afraid of was there in abundance. Love.

John's attitude changed completely since then. His mission was to raise the boy to follow his footsteps. He was so busy trying to do that, that he left Helen alone and she was great full for it.

To her dismay, the boy was proving to be a disappointment to the family. He did not seem capable and Helen had to keep an eye on John so that he does not set of in a fit of rage and expose them all.

It was sheer dumb luck that one day she ran into A young orphan girl with a tortured rat in her pocket. This little girl became the key to keep John in control.... until she was attacked and lost the ability to conceive.

Helen paced her room, wondering if she should call Aaron and ask him if he knew where John is, but she already felt she was walking on thin ice with Aaron. She was almost certain that Aaron knew about his brother being missing and being held captive. She was surprised that Aaron hadn't done anything to get his brother back.

She looked up to the clock on the mantelpiece. Half an hour to midnight. She needed to act fast.

She picked up her phone and hit call.

"We need to talk about this family meeting situation." She said urgently into the phone.

"I'm worried about your father. This could end badly for all of us." She continued brushing her finger under her eye before the tear managed to escape.

William splashed some water on his face before looking at his reflection in the bathroom mirror of the hospital.

He had just come back after visiting Captain Fields who was in a room next to them.

The captain had suffered a stroke as a result was left paralysed on one side. He looked terrible and it look William everything he had to keep himself together during the visit.

"I'm ok." Captain Fields said with difficulty. He could barely speak but knowing how dangerous their situation was he was desperate to help William.

"I'll take care of the boys. Don't worry." He continued.

"But captain!" William protested. "You are in no state to do anything."

"I have help." Captain fields rasped. "I should have asked them for help earlier."

William didn't know who the captain was taking about but was worried that he was straining himself. It was then the nurse came to usher him out because the captains blood pressure was rising.

He thought of Dana, the pregnant girl, her brothers who were now in his care and her parents who were most certainly dead. The captain was was good as dead. Now he had to go face the most dangerous man he had ever met.... alone....

No plans, no backups .... it's going be a blind walk into the lions den. He had nothing more to loose anyways.
