"Wake up," A familiar husky voice whispered in her ear.

She sleepily yawned and stretched.

"I had the craziest dream. There were these two guys who-" Her eyes widened with fear when she opened them to see Joe. It hadn't been a dream.

"It's okay. I'm not going to brutally murder you," Joe said sarcastically.

Demi looked at the clock. "It's three in the morning, why are you waking me up?"

"We've decided to stop for the night," He replied calmly.

She could feel his warm breath on her cheeks. She suddenly noticed how close his face was to hers and she sighed.

"I'm too tired to move," Demi said as she closed her eyes once again.

Suddenly, she felt two arms lift her out of the car and she groaned, "I was comfortable in there."

"You'll be more comfortable in an actual bed," He replied bitterly.

She closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder. "Why are you always in a bad mood?"

He didn't answer. Instead, he walked into a room and set her down on the bed. Demi rubbed her eyes and yawned.

"Where's your brother?" She asked, curiously.

"He met some chlamydia-infested girl down by the pool," He replied.

She giggled, "I wanna go to the pool."

"Too bad."

She pouted, "Why not?"

"Because I said so," Joe replied.

"Okay, mom," She rolled her eyes, "I'm gonna go take a bath."

"Have fun."

Demi walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. What was his issue? If anyone should be in a bad mood, it's her.

She turned on the water and looked through all the bubble bath scents that the hotel had provided. She had to admit that it was quite a nice place.

She poured the bubble bath into the water and started to undress when she heard a knock at the door.

"What?" She asked, slightly annoyed.

"Just making sure you're still in there," He replied.

She shrugged and after she fully undressed, she slipped into the bath and tried to relax.

Every five minutes Joe would knock on the door and she would say something along the lines of "Go away."

She wanted to stay in the bath until her entire body was a prune, but she got out and wrapped a towel around her body after about thirty minutes.

She walked out of the bathroom and saw Joe sitting in a chair, watching TV. I'm alive," She said sarcastically, "By the way, where's my stuff?"

He pointed to the bed and sure enough, the things they had bought earlier were sitting right there. She walked to the bed and looked through the clothes. She picked out plaid pajama pants and a baggy white t-shirt.

She walked back into the bathroom and changed. She heard a knock at the door.

"Oh my god," She said through gritted teeth, "You just saw me!"

"I'm not checking to see if you're there, I need you to get out of the bathroom," He said.

"Whatever," She opened the door and walked past Joe, sitting on the bed.
