After hours of traveling, Demi finally worked up the courage to say something. "Can you guys just let me go? I think we're far enough away from anything that's familiar to me."

Joe laughed. "What makes you think that, princess?"

"Don't call me princess!" She snarled in disgust.

"Fine. What's your real name?" He asked.

"Demi," She replied bluntly.

"I'm sorry Demi, but I can't risk you ratting us out while we're still in the United States, but as soon as we're settled up in Costa Rica, we'll let you go," He laughed.

"You won't make it that far," Demi said defensively.

"Oh yeah?" Nick cut in, "I don't see anyone hot on our trail, smartass."

Demi rolled her eyes. "How old are you guys? You!" She nodded her head towards Nick, "You can't be older than around eighteen! And you," She motioned towards Joe, "You're about the same age as me. You had your entire lives ahead of you! What the hell were you thinking?"

"Okay, calm down with the mom attitude, it's really killing my vibe," Joe replied as Nick chuckled.

Demi groaned and rested her head against the seat. "Can you at least take off these damn handcuffs? They're chafing my wrists."

"Stop complaining," Joe rolled his eyes.

"I'm hungry," Nick said, suddenly.

"We should get barbecue," Joe nodded.

Nick turned in his seat and looked at Demi. "She can't be dressed like a cop in public. It draws attention."

"Fine, what's your favorite store, Demi?" Joe asked as he looked at her in his rear view mirror.

"What?" She asked.

"What's your favorite store?" He repeated.

"Um..Urban Outfitters..why?" She asked suspiciously.

"We have all the money in the world and we've inconvenienced you by basically kidnapping you, so we might as well get you some nice clothes," He shrugged as he pulled into the parking lot of an old Urban Outfitters.

She frowned, confused. Why was he being somewhat nice? They had told her that kidnappers were brutal towards their victims. What kind of kidnappers were these guys?

Joe parked the car and got out, opening the back door, helping Demi out. "Let's get this straight. No funny business. No talking to anyone at all. And let's try to make this as quick as possible. I'm starving," He said as he unlocked the handcuffs and put them in his pocket.

Demi rolled her eyes and groaned, walking towards the store after Nick. Joe caught up with her and grabbed her hand. She pulled away immediately. "What the hell are you doing?"

"You think I'm just gonna let you roam freely? You aren't to let go of my hand," Joe said as he grabbed her hand once again.

She sighed and reluctantly followed him into the store. When she saw the clothes, her eyes brightened a bit. "So...I can get anything I want?"

"Go for it," Joe said.

"I'll be over there," Nick said, pointing to a chair near the door. Joe nodded in approval.

Demi dragged Joe into the girls' section and started looking through all the clothes. She found a few outfits that she liked and pulled him over to the dressing rooms.

Joe leaned down slightly to whisper in her ear, "I know it's awkward, but I have to go in there with you. Sorry. I can't risk it."

Demi nodded and wondered why he would apologize. Why was he being somewhat sweet about this stuff? She shrugged it off as she walked into the dressing room with Joe following closely behind.

Immediately, Demi stripped off her uniform. "Ugh, that outfit is so god damn uncomfortable."

Joe's eyes were too busy traveling up and down her body to notice what she was saying. Her matching lingerie definitely caught his eye. Especially the thong. "I guess you're not so much of a good girl when it comes down to getting dirty?" He smirked and chuckled as she rolled her eyes.

"Close your eyes, perverted bastard," She said coldly.

"Hey, I was just joking," He said, chuckling again.

"I'm not trying on any of these while you're in here," Demi replied, holding up various bras and panties.

"Alright, but I'll still buy 'em for you," He shrugged.

She tried on a few blouses, jeans, t-shirts and other things along with a few jackets and when she was finished, they went out and bought everything she liked. Joe and Nick let her into the ladies room to put on a t-shirt and some jeans and normal converse after confirming that there was absolutely no way to escape from it. They left quickly and went to a small barbecue place that was conveniently just down the road.

After they ate, they were right back on the road. This time, Nick decided to sleep in the back and Demi sat in the passenger seat.

They sat in a somewhat uncomfortable silence until they heard a siren.
