Dear friend,

I never told you that I am in art class, did I? Well, I am in art class, and it is my favorite class next to Ted's advanced english class. I wrote the essay for To Kill a Mockingbird last night, and I handed it in to Ted this morning. We are supposed to talk about it tomorrow during lunch period.

The point, though, is that there is a guy in art class named Ben and he’s very Funny.  He is the reason I like art class.  Ben sits behind me, he’s always saying funny things.  But I don’t turn around because I get nervous to talk to him.  He’s older than most of the students, I’m a little scared of the older students because of when Richly hurt me.

So, in art class Ben started to do a very funny impersonation of our teacher, Mr.  Morgan.  He even painted in mustache and sideburns with a paint brush on his face.  It was very funny.  When Mr.  Morgan found Ben doing this near the white board, he got kind of mad at him.  I feel very sad for Ben because Ben wasn't doing the impersonation mean or anything.  He’s the only upper class mate who actually makes fun of the teachers instead of the first years.  I wish he didn’t get in trouble, he was only doing it to make us first years feel better.  I wish you could have been there when Ben was being funny because it was the hardest I've laughed in a long while.  I don’t like Mr. Morgan all that much.  He’s kind of mean to his students.  He said some very immature things to Ben.  When Class started he asked Ben to read first in our beginning art textbooks.

“Chapter 1. Surviving your fascist art teacher, who needs to put kids down to feel big. Oh, wow. This is useful guys. We should read on.”

This made me smile, even though it made the teacher more mad.  Because what Ben said was kind of true, Mr. Morgan always makes me feel bad when he puts me down.  I like doing the art I just think the teacher is very unhappy.  I hope I can get to know Ben.

     Love always,

     Daniel
