Reese's POV
Spencer's hand grabbed mine, his smile full. We walked to a grove full of flowers and berries. Each of us placing them delicately in each others mouths.
A little girl with Spencer's hair and my eyes came out of the bushes with Raylee. Her smile brightened when she saw us.
"Mommy, Daddy!" She cried out.
"Angelica, our little Jelly," Spencer said. He wrapped his hand around my waist. "To my Peanut Butter."
I giggled. Angelica ran into my arms. Her little nose touched mine.
"I love you, Mommy," she said.
"Love you too, Jelly. Thank you Raylee for helping out."
"No problem sis, I always want to help out lovebirds."
I looked at Spencer as he played with our daughter. In my mind I said, Boy do I love him.
Suddenly the world changed. I wasn't with Spencer. I could hear commotion around me. Doctors were yelling that 'the patient's heart rate was dropping.' I tried to open my eyes. Someone touched my hand.
"Pull through ginger."
I realized that I was the patient. If I died I couldn't have my Jelly. Spencer would be devastated. I fell back into a dream.
When I wake up into my trans-like state I heard Spencer's voice. The person from earlier was calling him sexy. But that was my name. I wanted to scream out that he was mine.
His fingers wrapped around my hand. His voice sounded hoarse as he said. "Peanut Butter, I need you. After working so, so hard on this case, I just want to feel your warm hugs, your sweet kisses. I-I love you, Reese Jenson."
I tried to scream out that I loved him too. That I truly did. I felt sudden heat by my side. It felt very good as I lulled back to sleep.

Raylee's POV
"Mommy, where are we going?" Ray asked.
"To visit your Aunty Reese."
"But I don't have any Aunty's."
I sigh. If only I had reached out to Reese when I could've. I shoved a few of Ray's clothes into my bag. The plane was to leave that night. I hadn't talked to Agent Rossi at all. I thought back on his voice. He sounded like he was a great guy.
We got through the airport security without Ray rubbing his eyes. Then we got his shoes back on and the line of yawns began. His blue eyes were sleepy and red.
"Mommy, I want to go back to bed." He whined.
"I'm sorry, Baby. We're almost to the place we have to be. Then you can go to sleep." I looked down at him. He smiled loosely.
"Alright mommy, but I want a present when we get there."
"We'll see."
The flight landed around 5 in the morning. Ray was still fast asleep on my lap. The flight attendant gave me a sad look at the sight of us. My brunette hair was a mess and my eyes were more than likely red and puffy.
I picked Ray up and left. I realized I hadn't booked a hotel, a car rental, or planned anything in advance. I was screwed. I still had Agent Rossi's number. I called it as soon as I got off of the plane.
"Hello?" His voice sounded tired.
I sighed, at least he answered the phone. "Agent Rossi, this is Raylee Jenson again."
"Why yes dear?" I quivered when he called me dear.
"I've come to Portland but I didn't book anything in advance and I was wondering if your team is still within town."
"Why yes I am. I'll come to the airport. Give me a couple minutes."
Ray moved around some. I ran my fingers through his hair. It only took 20 minutes for Agent Rossi to come to the airport. I hadn't ever met him but when a man came in with a dark suit and a dark car I figured it was Agent Rossi. He called just to make sure.
"Thank you so, so much Agent Rossi. Did you happen to get a car seat? I forgot to ask you. Would it be illegal in a cop car or whatever car this is?"
"David, please. And it'll be fine for now. How does a breakfast sound?"
Ray's eyes fluttered open. "Did I hear bweakfast?" His little three year old voice said.
"How does that sound, baby?"
"Pancwakes and milk," he added a please on to the end.
"Where do you have in mind David?"
There were a few places open and we chose something with pancakes. We were the only ones there. David had also gone through a whole load of failed relationships. Ray liked him since David bought him pancakes.
"Can we go to the hospital now?" I asked, letting Ray play with his little pet moose.
"Of course," He opened up the car door for me and we headed that way.
The front nurse lady looked at me and asked if I was there for Reese. She didn't seem too surprised by my response of yes. The waiting room had at least 15 waiting to see Reese. All of them were younger than me. There was one little girl holding on to a woman. Ray went over to play with her.
"Who are you?" A guy with colorful hair asked. The girl who had been holding the child slapped him.
"Raylee Jenson," I shook his hand.
"Wait, like Reese's mysterious cousin that she hasn't seen in like 12 years. Holy pickles."
"Uh, I guess. I don't exactly come up too often."
"Girl, don't even give me that. She hadn't talked to you in any form in years. She hated that you didn't even try. By the way, I'm Mikey. Her best friend."
"So is that little boy yours?"
"Yeah, he's three. His name is Ray. Im assuming the little girl is yours?"
"My little two year old Charlie. This is my husband Colton. He's been hear since he heard. That's why he's still asleep. Reese's boyfriend hasn't come out yet so I don't know what's going on. He went in by 8 or 9 at least."
"Reese has a boyfriend?" Oh the things I had missed out on in 12 years.
"Yeah, she's been dating him for a few months. We all were betting they were going to get married. It'd be really hard on them though. He's an FBI agent and she's a veterinarian. He also lives way back east in DC."
I smiled knowing that Reese followed her dream of working to help out somebody. I knew that i wasn't a good influence and so I left her with Aunty and Uncle. Maeve was a better sister than I was.
"Really? Wow, thats-how did they meet?"
"At her cousin's funeral. He had been dating her for a bit but then that happened and they ended up together."
"Have they slept together?" I knew what 'ended up together' could mean.
The girl laughed. "Oh goodness no. She was actually waiting this time for a while. She loves him so much."
"I'm guessing she hadn't waited with other boyfriends?"
"She was usually a 'third date' kinda girl. Her role model was her sister. That's where she got her 10 shots from."
Crap. I taught my sister the wrong things in life. What kind of person am I? I head slammed myself mentally.
"Wow, I really should've stopped by more. So I didn't catch your name."
"Oh I'm sorry. I'm Vanesa."
"How old are you?"
"29, but I feel so much older with my 6 kids."
"Six! Wow, I thought one was enough."
"Well I have a set of twin, they're 10. Then I have my big boy whose 6. Then another set of twins who are 4. Then little Charlie."
"Good job. Seriously. At 29 I was still having flings left and right with guys."
"How old are you?"
"34, I've grown up a lot in 5 years."
A scrawny man suddenly opened the door. He had a sweater on and brown pants. Mikey stood up to meet him.
"How is she?" Mikey asked.
The man didn't answer. He noticed me and immediately glared. He looked as if he were going to say something then he didn't.
"Spencer," Mikey waved his hand in front of him. "How is Reese?"
"She's responding. She should be better by tomorrow. Everyone should be able to see her then." He pointed to me. "Except you. You are the whole reason this whole thing started! If you hadn't just waited to know the guy before having sex with everyone then Reese wouldn't be in there. The 14 girls that were killed wouldn't be dead! And I'd be holding Reese while she was alive and well!"
He took deep breathes and walked out of the waiting area. Everybody looked at me.
"You aren't just a cousin are you?" Mikey asked.
"No, I'm Reese's sister."
