Mikey in pic.3rd person POV
He wasn't happy with this one. The curls had gone away from the brunette. Her name wasn't anything special either, it was Emma Jane Smith. Three very common names. She didn't have a very common name. Emma Jane Smith just wasn't her.
He went out the the graveyard again. There were three funerals that day. He found one that might be a good candidate. She seemed just right. The curls were bouncy and definitely not manually curled. This one needed to be perfect. The anniversary was coming up within a few weeks. He needed to find her.
The girl's hair was blonde this time though. The little minor detail wouldn't change it. It couldn't. He ran up to her.
"Excuse me, Miss? Have you seen my German Shepherd?"
The girl stopped. She had blue eyes. Perfect. Emma Jane Smith didn't have what she had and therefore just wasn't right. He thought that e would be very pleased with this one.Reese's POV
As Jake lunged for me I stepped back not realizing that there was a wall there. As I fell and a loud boom rang through the room. A ringing rang through my head.
"Oh my God, Reese," Jake came to my side.
"Can you please not talk so loudly?" I asked.
"Where did it hit you? Reese, come on,"
I winced in pain as I lifted up my head. The room spun around me. I pointed to the spot. Jake just say there for a moment.
"I-I-it's not that bad, Jake. Really." I protested.
A knock came on the door. I held onto the wall as I went to the door. Jake was yelling at me to stop moving. Even though I was really light headed I knew I needed to keep moving.
I opened the door. Old Mrs. Wheeler stood there.
"Reese darling, is everything all right?" She caught a glimpse of Jake standing there. His face was all red from yelling. She never really liked Jake. "Deary, what is that villain doing here?"
"He's my boyfriend, Mrs. Wheeler. He comes here sometimes."
"Does he usually yell and throw you around?"
Sometimes when his temper got really pushed he would. I was too afraid to tell Mrs. Wheeler that though. I heard Spencer's voice through the phone still.
"One second, Mrs. Wheeler." I pushed past Jake and went to my phone. "Hey Spencer, uh sorry about that," the headache was growing more and more as the artificial lights stayed on.
"Are you alright?" His voice was threaded with worry.
"Ugh, uh can you not speak so loudly? It hurts."
"Reese, what happened?"
"I just hit my head a little." I touched the back where it was throbbing. My fingers came up a little wet and red. "I-I-I'm bleeding." I took another step and the whole world just came flying towards me.
I fell to the ground. Every thing incomprehensible. Jake punched my wall, I hoped he planned on paying for that.
I woke up in the back of an ambulance. Two paramedics were next to me. I gave them a confused look.
"Why am I in here?" I tried to sit up but they wouldn't let me.
"You hit your head and then passed out. We need you to stay down ma'am."
"I'm totally fine. I just got skittle dizzy. Haven't drank much water today. I swear."
"Well, Mrs. Wheeler said it differently."
Boy, sometimes I wished she didn't live right next to me.

I got released the next day with a minor concussion. I had to keep it low today. So I only did examinations instead of surgeries. I'd already taken too much time off.
Mikey was not impressed with me still coming to work. But he did end up finding out what happened. He was very disappointed in Jake.
"Hey Mikey, can I stay at your place tonight?"
"Isn't your place fine?"
"Jake has a key. I just don't want to deal with him right now. Please Mikey, I'll make you a cake next week."
Mikey sighed. He could never say no to cake. I knew the loopholes to him saying yes.
"Let's go get your clothes."
Oh how I loved my friends, meaning basically Mikey since my other friends had families and little ones that I preferred not to be around all the time. Like James and Jane, yeah. That was one of the things that turned them on to each other. Their name similarity. And then there was Vanesa and Colton, they have as many kids as they do in letters in their names (6). Those were only 2/10 of my friends. I'm basically the black sheep of the group with no kids, finances, or debt due to the children. I still love my friends and their families.
But Mikey always had some time for me. He was my bestest friend.Jake's POV
I felt awful for how I treated Reese. I know I shouldn't have done that to her. She was only talking to a friend, probably like Mikey. She loved having gay friends to talk to. I just got too jealous. That's one of my down sides.
I sat at work, Portland PD, looking at a missing case file. Her name was Emma Jane Smith, reported missing almost three weeks ago. We had received a lead that placed at a graveyard a few hours before she was reported missing. The place was called "Clementine Cemetery", but the place definitely wasn't sunshine and rainbows.
Speaking of rainbows, I wondered f Mikey knew where she was at. She hadn't even let me see her when she went to the ER. I don't blame her though. I was being a major jerk and don't even deserve her.
I called up the man and waited for him to answer, "Hello, gorgeous here speaking." Most the guys in his contacts were gay.
"Mikey, old buddy old pal, do you happen to know if Reese is ok?"
I heard some rustling in the background. She was with him that's what I figured. It made me secure that she was safe.
I hung up the phone. That's all I needed to know.A/N
Yes this is a Spencer Reid fan fiction. Don't fret. Just some added drama. Some of the views I put in here aren't necessarily what I feel, they are a mix of others that I've heard about. Thanks for reading!
